Buy New or Used?

What are your thoughts. It seems to me like you can save a ton of money by buying used vs. from Disney brand new. They sent us a package and want $89/point for Saratoga Springs.

Any thought would be appreciated.

For SSR you get 50 years of ownership. For the other resorts you get them for the next 38 years. Also with SSR you get Disney financing which is quick, painless and easy. If those things are most important to you, then go with SSR.

However I would suggest buying in the place that you want to stay the most regardless of who is selling it. You will hear that often on these boards and it is the best advice out there. Don't go with SSR just with the idea of trading out to another place and don't go with the cheapest DVC just to do the same. Plan to buy in the place you like the most and then try different options over the years.

Buying resale has additional costs like closing and dues. It can also be very time consuming.

HBCat is right, buy based on where you want to stay. If you love love love a resort other than SSR look into resale.
