buy milk at DLH?

Is there anywhere at DLH that you can buy milk cartons? I would love to have cereal in the room in the morning, but I don't trust the in room refridgerators to be cold enough for me to buy some at a local grocery store.

You can buy milk at the Compass bookstore in DTD and the DLH on siste coffee shop may also have milk to purchase as well. We have stayed at DLH several times and ordered groceries and have not had a problem with milk, cheese or any other refrigerated products in the referigerators at the hotels.

Quess what, providing an appliance that does not cool properly to store food in is a health violation. I would bet the hotel would replace it in a heart beat if they knew something was wrong. Some folks do not check the settings thus things warm up when they are not properly set.
A small thermometer(we carry one of those) will tell withing 1/2 hour. We always buy half gallon and bring them in.

I would be they do not want the health department coming in.

Is there a place within walking distance that sells half-gallons of milk? I wont need anywhere near enough food to do a grocery delivery.

The appliances in the DLH are "electric coolers", not refrigerators. They are best described as being able to keep already cold foods cold, but not able to take room temperature foods and cool them off.

Yeah, our fridge at the DLH was not reliable as far as keeping food cool - FYI.

I can't remember ever having a problem with a frig. at the DLH. I think you'll be fine. Whenever I go to a hotel that does not provide a frig. I will put my milk in the sink and ice it down.
As for where you can buy milk. As stated earlier, the Compass coffee shop, Naples take out and of course room service. To purchase a half gallon size, there is a small market at the front of the Tropicana Inn within walking distance of the DLR. It is on Harbor Blvd. Just go out the Esplanade toward the shuttle bus area , cross the crosswalk, and walk to your left for a short distance. You will see it from the crosswalk.
