"But Mom, I want to come back to WDW!"

Great updates Blue,

One trip ending another on the horizon

Please tell Prince Grumpy that I am impressed with the quality of his photos. Sigh...if only my DH could figure out how to handle a camera.

Prince Grumpy said "Thanks" with a big grin on his face. :flower3:

He'd never admit it but he loves getting the compliments ;)

Day 5 - Part 3

Me: It’s a wonder why I don’t have any grey hair.

Goofy: How come Dad has so much grey hair?

Prince Grumpy: (snarling) Every time you two do something wrong, I get one new one.

JoJo: (laughing) Dad, you must have been a very bad child then, because Poppy’s hair is ALL white!

I roared at this, walked away and headed towards the gift shop because I didn’t want to be a part of their wrong doings.

Ok - I've just found your report - but this made me laugh! My Mom always told me that each of her grey hairs has the name of whoever gave it to her written on it!

And, since I've been forced out of lurkdom on this TR - I may as well add my kudos to the list!! Enjoying the report (and JoJo's comments!).

i am still here reading and enjoying it all great report

:goofy:

Hey there! :thumbsup2

I've been hoping you'd post because I wanted to ask you if you booked the free dining again.

I checked out Expedia's site because you mentioned the great deal you got with them last year. Funny thing, they had a $700.00 savings if you booked a package with them BUT as soon as the free dining was announced, the took away the $700.00 savings

Your post made me smile today because I brought you out of lurkdom :)

It is always nice to hear stuff like that and know that people are reading and enjoying the report.

I laughed what you wrote about your mother because it reminded me so much of my DH. He's always tells my girls the same thing. :sad2:

He hates admitting that he's getting older :rotfl2:

Me too, I rarely see FOLK pictures (mine included) that aren't all dark and blurry. Great photos!

Shhhhhhhh......we're not going to tell him again. Too much of a good thing will only turn him into a picture taking monster!! :rolleyes1 :scared:

Thanks for reading and replying :flower3:

how ya doing i am waiting for a little while before i book they will have a good deal again i am sure it was around the end of april when i got it last year so i am hoping i get close to the same deal again when i do i will let you know

I can't imagine how I missed your report! I've been reading them for weeks now!

I've spent a lovely morning sipping coffee and catching up!

What a wonderful, lovely family you have! I'm loving the pictures and can't wait until the next installment!

Thanks for sharing!

Great report! I love the picture of Dinosaur! That ride is so loud it scares my DD5 and she wouldn't go on it this year.

I loved the animal pics-that lion is never out when we go on that safari. We've been on it about every year since it's been open, and we've seen the lions once.

Sorry to hear about your dream.   Grieving is a testament to those that we love who've passed. That's what I believe anyway.

Did you ever hear what happened to Buzz on Primevel Whirl? It's a good one.

The first time we heard the monkeys they were making tons of noises. I thought for sure it was animal sounds Disney had piped in! Uh, it was real monkeys. I felt stupid when I realized that! :upsidedow Then we had a good laugh b/c the baby monkey was making a sound that Buzz makes a lot-just randomly during the day when he wants to make noise but not use words. He quit doing it after he heard the monkey doing it. :rolleyes1

Where were those gorillas at? I always wanted to see them, but never have taken the time to find them.

I wish your trip was longer so we could hear more!! Is this the final installment coming up?:sad1:

Thanks for dropping by and reading. I've had so much fun putting this TR together and sharing it with my family and friends and not to mention the new friends I have made on the DIS because of it. :)

I'm glad to hear you aren't one of those parents that forces your child to go on a ride they don't want to. I forgot to tell this story when I wrote the last chapter. When we were standing in line waiting to go on Dinosaur, there was a family of 4 also waiting to go on. However, the youngest son, I'm guessing he was around 6 years old, was crying the whole time. He obviously was very frightened and didn't want to go. When it was time to move closer, his mother was literally dragging him and he was trying to pull away, screaming frantically and can you believe the mom didn't even try to calm him down. She just continued pulling him closer. I'm not sure if they ever did go on the ride because we had to move along but I tell you, I wanted to take that little boy in my arms and give him a big hug. Poor thing.

So very true and it does get easier with time.

The gorillas were on the walking Pangani Forest Trail.

As for the final installment - No. It is our last day but I have a few installments to go with it. You should know me by now, I never shut up! LOL.

Then I will have more to say on our "leaving Disney" day. But the end IS near I'm sad to say.

Day 7 – Part 1

We woke up late on the seventh day, also our last full day to spend in the World and I believe it was due to sheer exhaustion. I looked in the mirror at myself and could actually see bulging muscles in my legs from all the walking we had endured over the last week, and muscles in my arms from carrying packages from all the shopping I had done. Picture Popeye and that’s what I was seeing. Ha Ha. No, I looked the same as when I arrived, perhaps a little more tanned with dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep. I felt good. But also sad. I didn’t want this trip to end and now we had to make a decision of how we were going to spend our last day. We were planning to go back to Typhoon Lagoon for a second visit because it was a lot of fun and wanted to save our energy for all the walking we’d be doing in Epcot in the evening.

What to do. What to do. There are so many choices that the decision-making becomes difficult when you don’t have a plan. This was our “free morning/afternoon” day. If I had read these TR’s before leaving, I would have had the following ideas to help me out:

According to:

DISUNC: we could take the kids to MGM and use the “You’re a Woosie” card to talk them into going on ToT and hope that they won’t freak out if the ride breaks down at the Storage Room where “Willie sees you and knows you are here”.

Nebo: rent a kayak at Coranado Springs because we just may see an unauthorized gater!

20.gif

Mr. Silly: I got nothing here. I never did understand a word of anything he wrote.

confused-8.gif

LaLa: Go to MK and try out the elusive yellow treat – the Dole Whip because she says its rave worthy.

i-scream-for-ice-cream-41.gif

ZZUB: Go to Epcot, but don’t eat at Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki unless you know your way to Canada.

kay7979: Return our refillable mugs for a return deposit of $3.99 or keep them and have a small microprocessor chip imbedded in the logo of the mug. This is the new policy to put an end to the refillable mug controversy.

KathyRN: Take a ride on the Monorail and ride up front but be sure to find out if it’s the CM’s first time doing so as well. This is a supposed to make you a “cool” mom in the eyes of a teen.

cool-045.GIF

mlill: Spend some time focking other DISers. Read her Focking 101 link to find out more. I'm watching YOU!!

eefd1f12.jpg

PrincessJasmine08: Run around your resort in your pajamas and have strangers take your picture.

15.gif

jodistar: Run the WDW Marathon.

leisures-and-sports-063.gif
Okay - this will never happen. Walking is more my speed.

Montana Disney Fan & Linnie The Pooh: Head over to the gangster’s hideout and take a swim in the pool where the rabid duck hangs out. Hmmm…or just have a beer because it’s noon somewhere in the world.

Goofster57: Hang out at MK and you just may get a chance to see Jennifer Aniston with some mystery man.

Of course there are many others and I apologize to those I may have missed but these are the ones that stick out in my mind at the moment.

Coming Up - Our decision and then off to Epcot for dinner at the Coral Reef

Auntie Mame once said that Life was a Banquet.....

WDW is more of a Buffet... almost too many choices!!

It's like going to the local diner and opening up their 5 page menu, then trying to decide what you're in the mood for!

Well, whadja do, huh, huh??

Kathy

Hi Blue!

We are getting an early April break from school, thanks to floodwaters wiping out chunks of just about every road in my town. For every bad situation, though, there's an upside, and the upside here is that I've been home with lots of time to read your trip report.

I have caught up to the grumpy bus ride home from HDDR. I am looking forward to reading about your nature-loving girls at AK!

Isn't that the truth?!? There's never enough time to do EVERYTHING we want to do!

cannot wait for the next installment. I don't know what I would decide to do if I had a free day.... probably hang out by the pool and drink something colorful - :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your dream. April 27th will be two years since my Dad passed. you do start thinking more about the happy times.... He is with me every day :flower3:
