Busses

Word from one of our bus drivers at SSR told us that they were getting in a new fleet of about 100 busses in November to replace the aging busses they have now. Just thought I would pass that along!

Glad to hear it. When we were there last May, we used the busses quite a bit, and at least 2 or 3 times, the bus had to stop and - for want of a better word - reboot. It was something electrical; the driver had to turn off the bus, wait a few minutes, press a button and then start 'er up again. No big inconvenience, but still annoying.

They have been waiting for them for quite some time, according to a very friendly bus driver we had in June. Look for new handicapped accessible buses as well as the standard kind. Supposedly they are coming from a different manufacturer.

I like the new buses -

some of the olders buses date back to at least the 80's - the older ones with purple in the inside.

although someone else told me that WDW never retires buses they just kept getting new ones ......
