We've got a couple of quick transfers on the upcoming trip and I'm hoping I can avoid the time-waste busses can be when transferring from park to park, so...

Question 1: Are there busses from park to park (e.g. from MGM to Magic Kingdom, or from Animal Kingdom to Epcot?)

Question 2: Is there a taxi stand at each park? If so, can anyone tell me where each taxi stand is?

There is no park to park Disney bus transportion. You must go to a resort then transfer to the new park
Park 1 to Resort (any resort)
Resort to Park 2

There most certainly is park to park transportation

How else can WDW sell park hoppers if you can't park hop. :teeth:

The only caveat is that for MK, the tranportation picks up/drops off at the TTC. So you would need to take the monorail or ferry.

So

From MK
to Epcot - monorail
to MGM - bus
to AK - bus

From AK
to any other park by bus

From MGM
to MK - bus
to AK - bus
to Epcot - bus or boat or walk

From Epcot
to MK - monorail
to MGM - bus (from front of Epcot), boat (from IG) Walk (from IG)
to AK - bus

Note: the bus is dedicated, direct non stop to the other park. No stopping at a second park or gas station or grocery stop :teeth:

The taxis are also at each park. For MK, they are at the TTC.

When I was at AK a few years ago, the bus to Epcot stopped at MGM first. Has that changed? And in order to go from AK to MK, they said we'd have to change at TTC. And last I checked, there was no bus from MGM to Epcot. At least there wasn't in August-is there one now?

I don't know about a few years ago, but in 2003 it was no stop direct.

Yes, for MK the busses go to TTC and then you would need to take the monorail or ferry.

For MGM/Epcot - there has been a bus for a long time (we've taken it each year for a few years now.)

Who did you ask? Was it somebody in purple pants? As Tyler says, don't trust transportation information from anybody unless they are wearing purple pants.

MGM to Epcot (or reverse): You can walk or take a boat between MGM and the International Gateway entrance of Epcot's World Showcase entrance; the boat stops at the Dolphin/Swan, at the Boardwalk and at the Yacht/Beach Clubs on the way. OR you can take a bus from the FRONT entrance of Epcot to MGM or from MGM to the front entrance of Epcot.

That's why I was confused! First, no, it wasn't someone in purple pants who told me, so I probably should have known better. Then I was thinking about going to the IG entrance of Epcot. I completely forgot about the main entrance! Duh! I should have known better!

Disney publishes a "Transportation Guide/Map" that I think you can get at most places that have park maps. On one side is very useful map of the entire WDW resort. On the other side is basic information on how to get from one place to another. This tells you how to get from park to park. My map is 2-3 years old, but it says the bus works in every case except MK-Epcot, when you are expected to use the Epcot monorail instead.

I don't believe they make that brochure anymore. We haven't gotten one in more than a year. We used to get them at the valet window. Now you just get an 8-1/2"x11" B&W sheet with a WDW map on it.

Bummer. Guess I better save mine (even though it doesn't have Pop Century on it).

Help, I would like to eat at the Cape May cafe on for breakfast a certain morning during my stay at the AKL. My problem is the only ressie I could get is at exactly 8am. I understand that there are not any buses that run between resorts before 8am. I was also told that if it was a character breakfast that there might be a bus running. Cape May has a character breakfast. Does anyone have any info that might help me decide whether or not I can actually make this ressie..... thank you in advance :flower3:

There will be busses in the early morning for the character breakfasts, tours, etc.

The busses will be marked by park area. Example, MK busses will service the CR, GF and Polynesian.

So for Cape May, take the MGM bus. Tell the driver you need to get to BC. He will drop you off there.

Be at the bus stop 45-50 minutes before your ADR, just incase you just missed the bus. They run every 20 minutes or so.

Thanks all. That's good to hear that there are direct, park-to-park busses (I always thought you had to do the park-resort-park route). Can anyone fill me in on where taxi stands can be found at MGM, Epcot, or AK?
