I've never understood this kind of "thinking". Do I think any opinion that is different from mine is wrong? Of COURSE I do. If I thought their opinion was right, I would probably hold the same opinion.

As for "belittling" anyone that feels differently, I'm still waiting on you to put up or shut up on that. If I do it so often, it shouldn't be too hard to prove. If someone posts a reasoned post, I respond in kind. I've been doing it a lot longer than you've been around this place (at least, under that particular user name).

Simply this: you and Joe and others act like you have a monopoly on patriotism. As if the only way we can be patriotic and love our country is if we swallow the lies and support this war that is nothing more than a drain on our resources when they could MUCH better be used elsewhere.

My point was simply that, although you claim to love this country so much, practically NONE of you have ever actually served this country. I have. I spent five years in one of the buildings that was attacked on 9-11, and I'm proud to have done so.

Your opinion would count either way. What makes me nauseous is that you think you have a corner on patriotism, and that it's necessary to support the imbecile in the white house to be a patriot.

So, you've been serving for 25 years? Congratulations. It doesn't change my point that MOST of the chickenhawks (the entire Bush administration, for example) have done no such thing. And either way, it doesn't give you a right to make a comment like that without being called on it.

Certainly an interresting idea, but how does "student teacher relationship" (one of the criteria) equate to intelligence? Many of the other criteria are suspect as well.

It is interesting, though I wouldn't put much stock in the results.
