OK, we know they dont do this, but I was just wondering if buses one way TO DTD from the parks would work? Or do you just think people would suffer thru getting to the parks from DTD if they had a direct ride back to DTD?

I dont know if that's been brought up before or not.. probably so :)
:lmao:

Personally, I would love to see buses going direct from the parks to DTD, but we all know that they would never implement this, as the buses would be full of guests staying off property. If you use your head though, you could just catch a bus to SSR and walk through to DTD!

There used to be buses between the parks and DTD...at least if I remember correctly. They stopped doing them for a variety of reasons. There just wasn't a huge need for it, so it wasn't cost efficient, and there were some who parked at DTD in order to avoid parking fees.
But in all reality??? It's more of the first...not cost effective for Disney to run DTD/Park buses. Maybe it would make some sense to provide park to DTD buses late afternoon/early evening, but other than that, probably not.
Then people would complain that there was no way to get back to the park lots to get their cars.
If you are at MK, you can just head to the CR and take a busto DTD. If you're at Epcot or DHS? Bus to Pop, or walk to BW/S/D/YC/BC and take their bus to DTD. AK? Bus to AKL, transfer to DTD bus.
There really aren't all that many people that want to head to DTD from a park, and vice versa. Some yes, but just not enough to make it worth Disney's while.

Yea, I'm sure the cost of it would cause issues.. Dunno was just one of those things that went thru my head while I'm waiting for Saturday to get here so I can get back to the mouse house..

And yea, the people that would complain about not being able to get back the same way.. Just what happens when I have too much free time :rotfl2:

If you are in MK - take the monorail to the TTC and catch a bus to DTD.

If you are in EPCOT- walk (or boat) to the BC/YC (1st stop) and get a bus to DTD.

If you are in DHS - take the boat to the S/D(1st stop) and get a bus to DTD .

If you are in AK - take the bus to AKL (close resort) and get a bus to DTD.

Leave at least 1 hour to get to DTD from a Park with the above transportation.

OR - hire a taxi at any Park and pay for your ride to DTD (maybe as high as $25 depending where you are traveling from) Ask the price of the ride before you get into the taxi and also make sure the taxi driver knows the way.:crazy2: We took a taxi from the Dolphin to the Contemporary for our anniversary dinner at Cali Grill. The 1st taxi driver asked if the Contemporary was near MK. We asked if he knew how to get there - he said he need directions. We got out of the 1st taxi and went into the next taxi in line. :drive: The 2nd taxi driver knew where the Cali Grill was and said some taxi drivers only know the way to the airport, since that is a larger fare they can collect. :drive:

There are no buses to DTD from the TTC. If at MK, just head to the CR and take their bus.
At Epcot, it all depends on where you are in the park. If you're in WS, then head to one of the Epcot resorts and take their bus to DTD. If you're in the front of the park, then take a bus to POP and then their bus to DTD. Or to SSR..and then walk over to DTD, but that can get confusing unless you know where you're going.

Just has to be stated, I know how to get to DTD "from the parks" I was just thinking out loud about 1 way trips TO dtd from the parks.. which as been shown, still isnt going to happen and really isnt that big of a deal..
The only thing I would say is that unless you are going 'backwards' ANY resort bus from say AK (unless magic kingdom area) not the AKL bus only as a choice.. if a csr, cbr, pop, astar hop on that, then hop on the DTD bus..
