Busch Gardens Tampa - Drive Time / Crowds?

Trying to figure the commute time from Windsor Hills to BGT; also curious as to crowd levels there in December. We plan on taking a day off from Disney and making a day trip on December 8th (Saturday).

It takes about an hour to get from WH to BGT. The crowd levels should be low early in December but I'd suggest going to BGT on a weekday as opposed to a Saturday, as Tampa locals make up a large percentage of the crowd on the weekend and will increase the number of people in the park.

I would also say 1 hour is about right. Not a bad ride and so worth it. DO not miss Ka Tonga, Rhino Ralley and my guys loved Sheikra a coaster. I did not ride I was in kiddie land with our daughter.
