E are staying at as movies jan 5-9 going to each park one time. Would you drive or take the bus to maximize time. Based on your choice what time would you rec leaving to get to the park for rope drop?
We drive everywhere, even MK. Especially if we are leaving when the park closes. It does take longer to get to the TTC but it takes the same amount of time to wait a few turns for the bus, in our experience. And at least then we are sitting in a car by ourselves versus on a crowded bus or standing on sore feet.
Oh, and if you're relatively fit, there's no need to use the trams in the parking lots either. We often find it faster and easier to just walk from our car to the park entrance, especially at Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Don't follow the herd onto the trams.
Just a note from the other side.
We drove to Disney, parked our car and didn't move it until the day we left Disney.
We rode buses everywhere.
Oh god that trams.... I sometimes will be like "Hey, the tram is here and isn't full, let's jump on" then end up waiting for it to fill up, then hear the whole safety message (and then a second time if someone refuses to listen and gets on after no more boarding call). Then you finally go, only to hold for the tram at the station still parked and hasn't even called for no further boarding and then has to play the safety message before leaving so you can pull up. Avoid the tram at all costs. But overall, I would never solely rely on Disney buses again. I will always get a car.
