Bus Transportation/Mco to WDW

Has anyone ever done Bus Transportation from Mco to WDW???? I think its Bus 11 to downtown, transfer to Bus 50 to TTC.

Has anyone ever done this? Thinking about it for my 18 year old son who will be meeting up with us during our trip. I probably will be using Mears, but I read somewhere about the bus transportation. He's not staying on site, so the Magical Express will not work for us.

Wouldn't he be better off using Mears as well? I mean, once he gets to the TTC, he's still got to get from there to wherever you're staying. Sure, Lynx is cheaper but it just seems WAY less convenient.
