bus transportation from the Contemporary

I have a question reguarding the bus transportation. Does each hotel have their own bus to MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney? Or does the bus to those places stop at a few different hotels. We're going in November and staying at the Contemporary. I can hardly wait. I booked my flight and have made arrangements to have a towncar pick us up at the airport.

Also Does anyone know way to get to the Swan Hotel. My sister and her family will be in Disney at the same time as us and we would like to get together with them. Maybe do a meal at the Swan.

The monorail resort sometimes share buses. When we were there in Jan, the CR had its own I think. To get to the Swan, I'd take the bus to MGM & then catch the boat or walk from there over to the hotel. Nice boat ride & you get to see the Boardwalk area which is really nice. You might even try one of the restaurants there. Have fun!

The Contemporary shares a bus with the TTC. Sometimes, this can lead to crowds; but if you're going in November, I would'nt worry about it.

rock steady,

Thanks rascalmom and reBLUE for responding. Last time we went to WDW (feb. 2000) we stayed at Shades of Green and transportation was so nice and easy from there.
reBLUE I'm glad you told me that sometimes the contemporary shares buses with TTC because my other idea was to take the monorail to the TTC and then catch the bus from there to wherever I was going.

The one and only problem with the CR bus service is that when you are coming back from MGM, you have to share it with the TTC which is a NIGHTMARE!

Otherwise, sure they stopped at different stops on the way to the parks (animal kingdom, mgm) but you were the first to board the bus and on the way back, it was just to the CR (with the exception of MGM) okay did this make sense? lol

This was my only major complaint when we stayed at CR last November. The MGM bus was shared with TTC. It wasn't a major problem in the morning since it picked up at CR first, but the evening was a real pain. None of the other resorts had long lines for the buses except for CR because it was shared with TTC. We were pretty disgusted by the long wait since CR is considered a Deluxe resort. If there is a long line, you might consider hopping on the GF or Poly bus and then catch the monorail back to CR.

I'm not sure why AK was different, but that bus didn't go to TTC.
