bus stop numbers

I still think it makes sense to have the same number for each resort. And as for the bus stop distance, deluxe are closest, followed by moderate, then value. Its obviously easy enough to move the numbers around at the terminals. At epcot, the epcot resort numbers are simply left off. Its not a big deal. Just would be nice to know to look for the same number every time you left a park.

So, if the Epcot resorts were stops 1,2,3,4,5 (or just 1, depending on if they were sharing), then the bus stops at Epcot would start at 6? And if the monorail resorts were stops 6,7,8, then the Magic Kingdom ones would go 1-5 and then restart at 9? And what to do with the All Stars? Sometimes they share, sometimes not. So, those would be 15,16,17 but if they shared, then they'd be just 15? But not at some parks because I think they don't share most of the time at the Magic Kingdom so someone at Sports would have to know if it was a shared bus or not.

I dunno, I think it's fairly easy to read a bus stop sign as you are approaching the depot. It's not like Disney doesn't have these huge boards up before you even get close to the area. And if you have to *gasp* slow down just a bit, big deal. Or - a better idea - once you get to the park, look at the sign so you know on the way out which stop to go to. You almost never get left off where you get back on the bus. And please don't push that idea.

While that's interesting, it likely is incorrect (or will be soon) as the bus stops CHANGE all the time.

I would assume that Disney has a method to their Where's My Bus "madness." I've never found the 5-second stop to check for the bus stop number to be troublesome.

It's not, provided the numbers on the board are accurate and they don't change while you are in line waiting for your bus. We had an issue last summer at HS after evening EMH. We were in line for POFQ at the designated bus stop when the CMs changed the board to combine POFQ with POR, but no one bothered to come to the line and let us know. Eventually, after a few other guests came by saying POFQ was in the other line, we all moved over, but by then we were pretty far back and had to wait for a few buses. Not a huge deal, but CMs should really make an effort to walk out to the stops and tell guests when they change the lane numbers.

I think the bus stops have to remain flexible based on operational needs. It would be ridiculous to keep stops the same, as when they did need to change unexpectedly it would cause much more of a headache. For example, a bus breaks down in stop 12, so the cast members can immediately reroute guests and buses around the problem.

If everyone was just blindly walking to the usual stop without looking at a board there would be no way of making these changes on the fly.

If everyone is in the habit of looking at the board each time it makes it very easy to keep everything moving.
