Bus service at Beach and Yacht club question

I know that the BC & YC share bus service. From what I can recall, the first pickup is at the Yacht Club and then that bus picks up at the BC, right? Reason I ask is that we plans to be at the rope drop at MK and AK. I'm thinking those buses will be super crowded so I want to get on at the 1st stop if possible.

Yes the first stop is the YC followed by the BC. If you are really worried about a seat on the bus you can walk to the YC stop - it is not that far. We never feel the need to do that

I have been wondering about the BC buses also. I have heard it is a pain to get to and from MK. How bad is it?

We stay at the YC but never had any problems with busses to MK and AK. You may wait for a bus a few minutes but like the pp said, if you are worried about getting a seat, walk from the BC bus stop to the YC bus stop as the bus picks up at the YC first. Also, when we are leaving MK or AK, sometimes we jump on a Boardwalk/Swan or Dolphin bus if it comes first and walk back to the YC. Just food for thought.

I never thought about getting on a Boarkwalk/Swan or Dolphin bus while leaving the park. Thanks for the tip :)

It's a perfect excuse to grab something at the boardwalk bakery too! Boardwalk Bakery and the pizza window are much better (in our family's opinion) food options than Marketplace if you need to grab something. We even hit Boardwalk Bakery in the morning sometimes for breakfast before Epcot or HS. They have tables and chairs out on the boardwalk to enjoy your food.

Not totally sure, but it is my understanding that if a bus fills up at the YC, prior to going to the BC, the bus driver will notify the next bus and the next bus will stop first at the BC. I know for sure that they do that at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

For that matter, the BW bus no longer shares with Swan/Dolphin so just walk over and hop on that. I was there (at BW) in May and went to MK for pre-rope drop BOG ressies and there were only about 8 people waiting with us.

There is now a dedicated Boardwalk bus at MK - only to Boardwalk. Swan/Dolphin have their own bus.

The distance between Yacht and Beach is a matter of yards. It would not be appreciably faster to board or disembark at Yacht instead of Beach or vice versa.

I'm not aware of buses filling up completely at YC so you may want to hold off on walking there, unless you absolutely must get a seat on the bus.

in other news. there is now a dedicated YC/BC bus from Disney Springs. No longer sharing with the other 3 resorts in the area. I don't know if those 3 (S/D/Boardwalk) still share a bus.
