Bus AK to DTD?

Is this still happening? Would be great for our our upcoming trip. If so have they expanded this service to other parks?

There are no direct buses from any of the parks to DTD. They do this so that people won't try to take advantage of the free parking at DTD, and then go to a park to avoid the parking charge.

There are two different options. You'd have to take a bus from AK to a resort (such as AKL) and then take another bus to DTD. Or take a taxi from AK to DTD, which is quicker than the two-bus option.

There currently are not any buses going from parks to DTD, but some time last year, they were testing a bus route from AK to DTD and vice versa I believe.

To get to DTD from a park, I take the Saratoga Springs bus and get off at the last stop, I think (Congress Park - maybe) - the bus driver will tell you. It's just a nice walk from there. I've done it several times.

I have read that the path from SSR to DTD was closed due to DTD construction. However, my idea is to take the very short bus ride from AK to AKL, and take the bus from AKL to DTD.
