Burning a cd questions

Ok- I have the music I want to walk in to BUT I do not want the whole song and the part that I want is in the middle of the song, is there a way that I can burn only part of a song on a cd? I am clueless!

There is a way, you can download free software online, but disney can also do it for you...We wanted to walk into the reception using the Harry Potter intro, and then wanted it looped to be longer. Our DJ took care of everything

I could crop it for you if you want to email it to me I'll crop it to what you want. I made cds for my reception and rented a sound system. I spent alot of time on them and it was real fun.

Thanks- Princess Mo- I just have the cd, how do I email it to you? I have it on my ipod, but am pretty clueless. The song that I want is from Spectromagic the fanfare I will have to listen to it and let you know the part that I want and I would like it looped if possible, do you know how to do that? I was pretty sure that someone would know how to do it, as disney sent that cd with parts of wedding songs to me. So I will check it out. It may be past the weekend though. Th next 2 weeks are my busiest. Thanks so much, I can burn a cd and put things on my ipod, but that is just about it.

I though I had read somewhere on this board a while ago that your DJ can only use an original CD - they could not use one that had been burned (something about copyright issues). It sounds like this might not be the case according to the previous posters. Also, this might just be Disney DJ's - it might not be the case if you bring in your own. Can someone please let me explain if they know.

I specifically asked my coordinator as my fiance is walking into From Dixie w/ Love performed by the Ole Miss band. I asked if they could all be burned on to one cd (now this is at the WP) for convenience, or did they need the original cd - she said to put it all onto one cd.
