In general, I've not had good luck using this strategy with LLMP. With FP+ and G+, I could refresh to get better passes.Gotcha. Thanks. Anyone have any advice which park or parks this works best at and which tier 1 rides are you most likely going to have success with while doing so?
With LLMP, for the most part, I have not been able to modify my (#2 and #3) prebooked passes after using pass #1. LLMP just doesn't have the same kind of availability that the earlier versions had.
MDE is a juice hog! It is good at draining your battery, but I've only had very limited luck refreshing.
Be aware LLMP still has a frustrating phantom pass problem. For example, you go to book a LL, and it looks like the system is offering up a 10am return for Pooh, but as you go through the booking process, the time jumps to something like 4pm instead, no matter how quickly you try to book it. Later in the afternoon it gets a little better as people give up using it.
As someone well versed in using FP-, FP+, G+, LLMP, even on very slow days, pass availability bites. On most of my Epcot days, I only used LL for a few passes. It is useful for whichever tier 1 pass you get. By the time you are in the parks, even on a slow day, FEA, Rat, and TT will probably already be sold out for the day. Even on slow days, the only somewhat decent passes I've been able to pick up are Soarin' and SE. But right now, at 6pm, Soarin' only has a 10min wait.
Most of the time, rides like Imagination are near walk-on. If you book passes for Imagination and Living with the Land, then you are only able to use the passes at the time Disney assigns. In practical terms, Disney will often give you passes such that you have to cross the park, which takes time and energy. Whereas without passes, you can just go from Imagination- to Land - to Seas, at our own pace. This was better for all the short-wait attractions. We did get some benefit from having Rat. The only long-ish standby wait was FEA, and that was only about 20minutes. It was posted 30 or 35, but the actual wait was shorter. Even with a pass, getting on Soarin' took about 20minutes. Results may vary if you are going during a holiday week.
I would also except LLMP to change a little once all the new attractions open. For right now, the parks have limited attractions.
GoG with no wait, and the internal queues empty still takes almost 30minutes w all the pre-shows.
