Burner Lightning Lane info?

Gotcha. Thanks. Anyone have any advice which park or parks this works best at and which tier 1 rides are you most likely going to have success with while doing so?
In general, I've not had good luck using this strategy with LLMP. With FP+ and G+, I could refresh to get better passes.

With LLMP, for the most part, I have not been able to modify my (#2 and #3) prebooked passes after using pass #1. LLMP just doesn't have the same kind of availability that the earlier versions had.

MDE is a juice hog! It is good at draining your battery, but I've only had very limited luck refreshing.

Be aware LLMP still has a frustrating phantom pass problem. For example, you go to book a LL, and it looks like the system is offering up a 10am return for Pooh, but as you go through the booking process, the time jumps to something like 4pm instead, no matter how quickly you try to book it. Later in the afternoon it gets a little better as people give up using it.

As someone well versed in using FP-, FP+, G+, LLMP, even on very slow days, pass availability bites. On most of my Epcot days, I only used LL for a few passes. It is useful for whichever tier 1 pass you get. By the time you are in the parks, even on a slow day, FEA, Rat, and TT will probably already be sold out for the day. Even on slow days, the only somewhat decent passes I've been able to pick up are Soarin' and SE. But right now, at 6pm, Soarin' only has a 10min wait.

Most of the time, rides like Imagination are near walk-on. If you book passes for Imagination and Living with the Land, then you are only able to use the passes at the time Disney assigns. In practical terms, Disney will often give you passes such that you have to cross the park, which takes time and energy. Whereas without passes, you can just go from Imagination- to Land - to Seas, at our own pace. This was better for all the short-wait attractions. We did get some benefit from having Rat. The only long-ish standby wait was FEA, and that was only about 20minutes. It was posted 30 or 35, but the actual wait was shorter. Even with a pass, getting on Soarin' took about 20minutes. Results may vary if you are going during a holiday week.

I would also except LLMP to change a little once all the new attractions open. For right now, the parks have limited attractions.

GoG with no wait, and the internal queues empty still takes almost 30minutes w all the pre-shows.

Ok, so just picking a Tier 1 ride you really want to ride and try to get it as early as possible, would be the best gameplan?
No, because if you are there at opening you should be trying to get through as many popular rides as you can without using a LL. Keep the tier one LL for later in the day when you KNOW it will be useful. Use stand-by in the first hour.

If you can book a throw-away LL that doesn't take you too far out of the way, do that because then you might be able to get a second tier one for later. But I agree with those who say don't actually ride that ride at that time. You don't want to be wasting your time on - say - Teacups at opening when you could be rolling through the Mine Train, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh - rides that will have much longer lines later in the day. Teacups will not have a long line later in the day. Ride it at 3:00.

Yes. For the most part.

Often the first thing MDE spits out is about as good as MDE will offer you as a pre-book.

I mean sometimes I've been able to bump them up a few minutes by playing around with it, but nothing like earlier versions of FP/G+.

With LLMP, if you want to adjust your 3 prebooks, you have some ability to see what type of swap you could make. Usually though the more you play around with the times, the worse it will offer.

That's what we like to do. In fact, we often consider our 2nd and 3rd selections as the burners.

For example, on a recent visit we had Test Track, Soarin and Spaceship Earth booked in that order. As soon as we tapped in to Test Track, I immediately added Frozen then replaced the 2nd and 3rd passes with Ratatouille and Rock & Roller Coaster.

It turned out that we didn't need Ratatouille due to a short standby wait during its mid-morning lull, so we rolled that one over to Tiana's during a same-day drop window.

That turned out to a pretty good stack of Lightning Lanes to start the day and with minimal effort.
In your example- and I second in my experience- is that one of your other passes was in a different park.

I've also had very good options open up with park hopping. I usually start looking in park #2 after I've used pass #2, and still have most of the 2nd park available to me. Mid-day (around 11:30am), for example, I was able to book RnRC and MMRR. Hopping to MK, I can usually get SM, HM, and Pooh. It was cold when I was there recently, so Tiana's was walk-on all day. I could have easily had Tiana's.

IMO, there is some balance to be had between getting LL's and using LL's. If, in your example, you used the TT pass, then hopped to HS to use the RnRC pass, then hopped back to Epcot to use the Remy pass- that would have also cost quite a bit of time.

On the other hand, the longer you stay in park #1, the less potential rides are available to book.

I find it frustrating that on very slow days we aren't able to re-book rides.

We’ve found the combining LLMP with park hoppers gives us the best touring results.

On our sample day, we had parked at Epcot so we had to go back through there anyway after hopping to and from DHS via Skyliner.

After the quick standby on Ratatouille our next reservation was for Frozen, but it was much more efficient to hop over to the Studios for some shows, autographs and the RnR LLMP.

We went back through Epcot and hit Frozen on the way out even though we were well past our reservation window. The extended grace period is a very helpful feature, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
