Bunus pass?

Hi all,

Just looked at the Universal Orlando website and found out the following.
The bonus pass for five concecutive days has almost the same price as the annual pass with black out dates. So when you visit is not in a black out period, the annual pass gives much more value then the five day bonus pass.
I also saw that a two day pass is now cheaper then the five day pass. Since two days is enough, I will buy just the two day tickets.

Gr. Marcel.

My husband and myself both have AP's for Universal. My kids do not and since my SIL and her husband are going with us this time, I told my SIL about the Bonus Pass. Right now, if you order the 5 day Bonus pass, you get a child one free. So, this deal works out great for us, since we are going to split the cost with her and we get 2 child passes for 5 consecutive days at either park for $119.00! :) They get two Adult passes with the same things for $119.00 also!

The buy one get one free 5 day pass would be awesome if the dates were better. The first day has to be used by February 10. It just so happens we will be their February 13-18.

I bought a (no blackout date annual pass for myself) price was $179 plus tax. I also got three months free, and was able to reserve our room RPR at a rate of $119 per night with this.

I bought the "blackout dates" annual pass for the rest of our family of four. It is indeed the same price as the 5 day pass except you get the entire year minus some blackouts.

this will give us the chance to come back sometime next year if we have as good a time as I think we will (it is our first trip).

Beanie,

do you really have over 66,000 posts or is that an error

No, in reality I have about 25,000+, but one of my Supermoderator friends thought she would be funny and give me the highest post count allowed (at that time it was 65,535 and after that it just stayed at that number)...Now, since we moved servers, the post counts run higher, so I am not sure where it will stop now! LOL

Oh and I do agree, the bonus pass would be awesome if the dates were different! It just happened to work out for us since we are leaving in a week! I hope they offer it again when we go in June, although I am seriously considering just buying AP's for the kids since ours don't expire until June of 2006.

I thought someone had to be messing with you.

I was holding off for a bit for better rates but was also getting a bit antsy since we are leaving in just a little over a month, and I like to have everything pretty well wrapped up.

I agree, I don't like getting there and then having to wait to for everyone to buy tickets, ect. I like having it done, so when we get there, we go grab our tickets and head into the parks! :)

Have a great time on your trip, Badge!

Thanks Beanie,

Another good resource for questions other than this board is to email directly to the concierge.

I found the link on the hotel website for RPR I am sure the other hotels have one as well rprconcierge@loewshotels.com

Here is one of the emails I sent and then the reply I got. I have done this twice now and each reply was within 24 hours.

Hi,

Couple of questions.

I bought the 2 park preferred annual pass and booked the room under the APH
rate. I have a confirmation number and computer printout with directions
to get our tickets at a Kiosk at the park. Is the Computer print out going
to be enough when we check in, or will I need to get the pass to get our
room at that rate?

Is their and "kids clubs" or babysitting services available at the hotel.
We have boys ages 8 and 6.

We are Lowes club members and did not identify that on our reservation.
Will we still be able to get these perks (such as milk and cookies etc) can
I add this information some how.

I appreciate your attention to this. One other question I have is are
their any refrigerators in the rooms. And how much extra would club level
cost. thanks

Good morning! Thank you for choosing to bring your family to stay with our
family here in the islands at the Royal Pacific Resort.

To answer your questions:

-Darrell at our Front Desk assures me that your confirmation # and computer
printout for your Preferred Annual Pass will be all that you need upon
check-in to secure your APH room rate (and of course, thank you for being
Annual Pass holders!)

-We indeed have a supervised activity center for children ages 4-14; it's
called The Mariner's Club. However, during certain times of the year, the
club will rotate between our camp and Camp Lil' Rock, over in the Hard Rock
Hotel. According to our Mariner's Club staff, a schedule has yet to be
published for mid-February, so my recommendation you for you is to contact
our Mariner's Club team around the first of February. Their direct dial
phone number is 407.503.3235. An alternative for you might be in-room
sitting services, which are available 24-hours a day. I can highly
recommend both All About Kids (800.728.6506) and Kid's Nite Out
(407.828.0920); each service does require a 4-hour minimum for their
services.

-Insofar as your Loews First number, you can either show your Loews First
card upon check-in, or contact Reservations at 800.LOEWS11 prior to your
arrival.

-Although our rooms do not feature refrigerators, they usually are
available for $15 a day. However, there are a limited number of
refrigerators available, so please advise our Front Desk ASAP if you would
like to have one in your room.

-To determine the cost of upgrading to the Club Level, please contact
Reservations at 800.LOEWS11.

Take care, and again, thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Royal
Pacific Resort.

I was just on the Universal site and it says that the "first day of admission must be used by December 27, 2005"

Yes. It appears to have changed. The site now says "Restrictions: Free ticket(s) is only valid for Kids ages 3-9. First day of admission must be used by December 27, 2005. This ticket offer is available via Electronic Will-Call only."
What a great deal!!!

They did change the dates it was February and now through the entire year.

Of course as luck would have it I already purchased our tickets.

This is a very good deal. If you can get the right on site hotel rate and cheap flight (like many that are available now) you can have a very affordable trip to Orlando
