Bunk Beds At Wl

Can anyone tell me about the bunk beds at WL . we have a woodsview bunk bed room booked, me DH, DS, DD and son is 14 yrs. old. But he is a very tall big boy. 5'10, , daughter is 12, and 5'3. I am concerned we will have a problem with size of beds. I called resort a while back, and they told me it was the size of a single bed. but what i have read , they just might be too small. am i wrong? What will they do if they are not? I feel that it is a big concern if they are not comfortable . especially being a deluxe, 6 nights without a good nites rest for our children, will almost make them grouchy! not good... thanks if anyone has any answers. this site has been such a big help for our first disney trip. we will be there in 2 days! 2-10! so close!! can hardly wait!

I know I read on a thread somewhere that no one over 5'4" should attempt to sleep on the bunks. So you might have a bit of a problem here. Could you switch to a room with 2 queens?

I'm good, our daughter is 4'8" at 12 years.

My family stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last summer. My husband and I took our 3 teenagers and 3 of their friends. We had two rooms. The 4 girls had a queen room and the 2 boys stayed with dh and myself in a bunkbed room. The boys were both 17 years old and my son is 6'3 and a pretty big guy. The did fine in the bunkbeds. They are the size of a regular twin bed. I think the previous poster may have been refering to the day beds in some of the deluxe resorts or the trundle bed at POR. Those are both smaller than a twin bed. I think you will have no problem with your son sleeping in the bunkbed. Enjoy your time at the lodge, we enjoyed it very much. We are going back this summer but staying at the Boardwalk Villas. I hope we like it as well.
