The bunk beds are small. They are smaller than standard twin. Tall kids would not fit in them without having to fold somewhere.
All bunk beds have a trundle. It is basically on the floor and not any different from the sleeping bags with pads IMO.
The rooms with a daybed are the larger rooms but are all standard. There are no view rooms with daybed.
When you have the trundle pulled out, there is almost no room because it takes up all the space between the queen bed and the bunks.
The footboards block the view of the TV, if that is important to your family.
I was told by a CM that the bunk bed rooms are generally smaller in size. After staying in one, I believe it.
We are a family of 5. We hated the bunk bed rooms and swore never to go that route again. I am not a claustrophobic person but that room made me want to turn around and walk back out. Our next stay got us 2 queens and they brought us a sleeping bag. The sleeping bag comes with a thick mattress thing to go under it and is actually really cool. When the girls saw the sleeping bag, they ALL insisted on having one and the hotel was happy to accommodate that request. When not being used, they're easy to have out of the way.
DLH tends to have much bigger rooms, better for families of 5. Note, though, that there are many different sizes of rooms at DLH, I guess because of its age. MOST are about the same size and include 2 queens and a daybed, but there are other odd ones out there.
Those are my bunk bed thoughts
