Bummer! 7 Dwarfs Mine Train closed during Halloween party

Way too much logic in this statement. This is Disney we're talking about here.

I agree - tix dates then prices/sales were delayed -- then once they were finally avail IT had issues yet again. ROL is still every other day in September, Hallowishes Dessert Party hasn't been announced, Club Villain either for that matter. Seems Disney is doing things at their own slow pace and when they're ready they'll either fix it or will make some kind of lame announcement

I bought tickets for Halloween night (not cheap!!!). I certainly hope the big hitters are truly open. That's always been a fun time to ride. It also evened out the insane crowds. Here's hoping :worship:

...there was even a suggestion out there that the Seven Dwarfs were going to meet inside 7DMT and the line is perfect for it.

This sounds like an AMAZING idea. If Disney announced this at the beginning, I bet everyone would have been thrilled.

LOL! In our case, I'm the one insisting we ride it and DD is the one wishing it was closed. I wonder if there is a record for the number of sighs, groans, and rolled eyes during a single Jungle Cruise.

If there is a record, it sounds like both me, my DD and your DD would all be tied for first. DH's other snoozers are at least in air conditioning so we can usually get in quick naps. :rolleyes1

Like everything else, people do the party for different reasons. My one daughter wanted photos with all the special characters. The other daughter wanted photos on the rides with us in our costumes, and my son wanted to shop for special merchandise and get candy.

Nope definitely not - me and my family have ZERO interest in meeting the dwarves but love the ride.

Umm, no. :rotfl:

It was instead of the ride being open, no thanks!

Just like everything else at Disney from rides to hotels ............. we all have different opinions.

The Halloween Party is .... a Party with rides. I have no issue with them cutting costs by closing a few rides if they make sure they up the character meets and other activities at the Party, since I paid for a Party. It's one reason we rarely go to the MVMCP, because other than the parade it's just another night in the MK to us.

I have NEVER stood in line to meet the 7 guys but if they had it in 7DMT I probably would wait in line. I think the problem would be that they start that line on time or early .... they would have to stop letting day guests in the line by 5:30 or so. Possible but .... could be ugly.

As I was helping someone in another thread with the updated 7DMT being back on the list, I had a possible reason for BTMRR being left off.

Remember all the "copy" problems Disney is having this year with things just not being right in their written communication? I think it is entirely plausible that BTMRR is missing because the "copy" people used LAST year's list when BTMRR was under refurbishment and, so, off the list. Perhaps no one noticed it needed to be put back on...you know, out of sight, out of mind.

Wow, both BTMRR and 7DMT?

One of our fond memories was closing out our WDW vacation in 2013 with a MNSSHP party and riding BTMRR a few times with practically no other guests except us just before midnight.

I really don't understand why they wouldn't have either of these open? Cheap move if you ask me.

The update is 7DMT has now been added to the list. No word on BTMRR.

You would think though that if they added SDMT back into the mix, they would've looked it over more closely and said ohh BTMRR isn't there either. Then again as a PP mentioned, this is Disney we're talking about sooooo....

If this is true, it's a substantial downgrade in the experience. Even if you don't ride those things, they kept others involved and out of lines for characters and off the curb on Main Street. The less there is to do, the more crowded it will all feel.

That would be my concern, 7DMT is definitely a people eater.
