I don't believe they had any verification from Disney or any sort of official announcement when this article was written. I'm actually quite shocked they'd publish this without verification. If it's been verified they haven't indicated that. Seems quite irresponsible to me to either publish without verification or verify but not include that piece of information.

It's no different than the multitude of panic posts that folks start when the list of restaurants that participate in the dining plan are first published. It's never complete when it's first released. Yet every single year someone posts "look what is no longer going to take the dining plan!" and every single time it's just a false alarm.

I agree. I will be very surprised if Disney truly intends for 7DMT to be closed during the party.

Well, some of us don't panic over everything. I don't look at the website. I know the rides are always open during the party. So when someone points out the website has a list of the open attractions during the party and these rides aren't on there, then people call and get the same message, it's now posted on this site...some of us start to get antsy.

It's not like Disney doesn't make stupid decisions.

No one believed Splash would be closed either.

I'm mostly more nervous it means they are also going to be under refurbishment for some dates during the party.

Besides, it doesn't hurt to email and ask questions anyways.

But Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder are still missing. Thunder just had a long refurbishment, so doubtful that's the reason. Let's hope this is still just preliminary.

Actually, it's not just Mine Train. Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Jungle Cruise will be closed during the parties also.

We discussed this in the official MNSSHP 2017 thread. The person who wrote this got information from the MNSSHP main page as well as a Disney's Moms Panel answer who also got HER info. from the MNSSHP page so we still just have no idea if it's actually closed.

It makes one wonder if they put that out there to see how much pushback they would get before making a final decision on some of the bigger rides. It just seems awfully odd that they would remember to list Country Bears but forget to list their most popular ride.

Is it usually open for MVMCP? I ask because we did it during MVMCP last year, and that's why I was surprised it was not on the list.

I don't know I've only done a couple but it would make sense that it is for the Jingle Cruise. And they don't have need for candy stations.

I don't think it's as much panic as it's, "hey I'm paying extra money for this event, why is stuff that is open during the day closed at night for this special event?

More annoying is that people had to call in order for them to add it.

Jungle has historically been closed during hard ticket parties (although haven't kept up if they added it for MVMCP because of the overlay).

I don't think calling has done anything. Disney doesn't release complete park hours more than 30 days out. It's months away from any party so it's not out of the ordinary for Disney to not have a complete ride list.

We were prepared to wait and see before getting tickets, but as a dedicated maker of planning spreadsheets, it warms my heart to be more confident in our MNSSHP decision. We have booked a family suite at AoA for that one night, our very first stay in a WDW resort. It is kind of a big deal to us, and while just a single night, we were looking forward to checking in, exploring a bit, then heading to the party. We figure it will be fun to crash there afterwards, then plan to wake up when it feels good, have breakfast and enjoy the pool until we check out and head off to AK for the remainder of the day. That was the one part of our schedule we had nailed down so far!

Looks to me they were going to close them, there was even a suggestion out there that the Seven Dwarfs were going to meet inside 7DMT and the line is perfect for it. Sounds to me they got too much backlash and added at least the hard to get ride back on. But still no BTM showing ... which if it were all a mistake they would have added when they put 7DMT on the list.
