Yep- you apply for the parties that interest you and you get an e-mail that you've been selected (if you were selected, anyway). If I recall correctly, you then click a link in the e-mail that "confirms" that you really do want the party.

I've only done one, the Gerber Generation party. It was fantastic!

You sign up to be considered for any party where you are interested, or in some cases qualify (like the FIOS party requires you have FIOS service). About the date that the dashboard shows you, if you are selected to have the party, you are supposed to get an email telling you to go accept it - but a lot of times those emails are delayed. What I do is keep checking the site when it is close to the time they are supposed to notify and I check boards such as this so I know if others have heard. If you get a red dot no party.

On or about the party date on the website (although I'm not sure it matters all that much the exact date in most cases), you have the party - invite over friends and family etc. and show off the product. Most of the parties have enough of the giveaways to give out at a small party or we use them as prizes and such. It's not always a formal party for us - a lot of times we invite a bunch of friends and it's more chill and eat and talk about or enjoy whatever the party is about.

If you are selected you DO have to accept and set up your party, however you don't have to post pictures in most cases. BUT, they do keep track of who posts info and pics to determine who are good party hosts or so they say.

Who got their party pack already? Mine says it's out for delivery, but I'm at work so won't see it til later tonight.

My DH is not going to understand this at all. But he's always up for inviting people over to grill, so this is a good houseparty to start with for us!
