Building selection at POR

I just got the BAT code discount for our stay 12/4-12/7, we had to switch to POR from POFQ.. I have been to FQ but never to POR.. I have a few questions.

1) my reservation is for a standard view room, Can I still call back and add a request for a specific building? Are there standard views in all the buildings?

2) which building is best for closeness to bus stop.?

3) Do they have a hot tub? which building would that be close to?

You like ALligator Bayou or Mansion style?

We like AB and prtefer building 15 then 14. They are close to a bus stop and close to the main building where the food is.

Yes, you can call back and request either AB or MB as well as a certain building. You need to figure out which section you prefer and then go from there as to which would be closest to the bus stop. It is best to be closest to the main bus stop (which is usually the 1st stop) as the busses can get pretty full by the time they go around to all the stops and you might end up standing or not getting on.

Now i just have to study those maps of the property.. and look at my passporter book,... is there any difference from AB and mansion style?

I guess I need to read a little more! I just want to be close to the bus stop and hot tub!!

AB is very rustic and woodsy, (the room and the area). The mansions are coloniol mansion style. Totally different look.

AB does offer a trundle bed to hold a 5th person where the mansions do not.

If you decide to stay in the Mansion section, Magnolia Terrace would be a good choice. It is close to the main pool & hot tub & also close to the East Depot. However, this is the last stop & the buses might be quite crowded by the time it gets there. This would probably only be a problem first thing in the morning when everyone is going to the parks.

we usually stay in magnolia terrace, bldg. #85 and find the food court, gift shop and main pool to be close by and use the busses from the south depot which is right outside of the gift shop area. we never waited overly long and always got a seat when the bus arrived and this is in july when crowds tend to be a bit high.
