We are headed down for our first trip to Disney 8/26-9/2. Our kids are 7 & 9 - wondering: 1) Is it possible to request a particular bldg @ SSR? How do you do this?
2) Which bldg do you reccommend?

You can request it that doesn't mean you're going to get it. Call reservations and they will put in your request.

For that age I would recommend Grandstands newest area still close to main building.

Then Springs Close to main pool area

Congress Park is our favorite. I like the Springs, too, but buses can get crowded by the time they get to that bus stop. But otherwise that is a great area.

You can't request a specific building, but you can request a section. Congress Park and Paddocks are closest to DTD. Springs is closest to the main pool and Artists Palette. Grandstand is the newest with a themed pool of it's own. Carousel is located the closest to the main entrance and tends to be a little quieter than the others. But all are rather quiet.

When I stayed there last fall I was given my choice of areas (congress park or the paddocks - I think). I asked to see the location on a map and I picked CP because it was cloaset to DTD. The pool there was great because of its beautiful view of DTD. We had a card, so we would drive to the main area. CP was very nice.
