Can someone tell me about this or post pictures?

I have 2 DS's that would love this. Are they sturdy? Seems like something that involves so many pieces put together would not withstand the abuse a light saber takes (esp w/ 2.5yr old who BELIEVES he is Darth Vader).

Thanks!!

These are actually quite sturdy; once assembled, they are as solid as any "pre-built" lightsabers. My son and I fight with them a lot, and he fights his friends. As long as they are not abused (i.e. swumg overly hard, hit against stationary objects, etc) they should last just fine.

They are sturdy, but beware if your little one likes to take things apart! I'm afraid that they are as easy to unassemble as they are to assemble. Oldest DS8 made the double blade Darth Maul version and I'm afraid it is now down to one side. DS4 also likes to take his apart. They gave us all of the different chips to make the different sounds, but we have no idea where they all are. Both DS's insist they are going to make new ones on next year's trip, but Mom and Dad are planning otherwise!!
