This is the name my kids gave me for Animal Crossing because all I do is walk around "BooTown" pulling weeds :teeth:

Anyone else love this game?

Animal Crossing! I love this game too! I know you're not supposed to mess with the clock but I make it winter sometimes during the summer just so I can make the snowmen! If you make a good snowman then they talk to you and say things like, "such glory, such form, such shape......" and if you make him badly, like uneven or too fat they get depressed and moan and complain.

I think it is so hysterical! I can spend hours getting lost playing this silly game.

Yeah, I've been playing it on the DS since I got it last week.

I also played it for GC, but haven't visited my town in ages.

LOL - we play around with the clock too - I love the ghost at Halloween. LOL

My kids are getting Animal Crossing Ds for Xmas! Is it as fun as the Gamecube version?

Yeah, its a pretty good game.

Some fun improvements, such as accessories your character can buy and wear such as different types of glasses and hats.

You can make constellations which will show up in your night sky.

And some new items such as the watering can, slingshot, and timer.

Of course, if you have a wireless router at home, you can connect to nintendo's wi-fi network and visit friends towns or have friends visit your town. If you don't have a wireless router, most McDonalds have their wireless setup where its easy to connect to with your DS.

Sounds good! Thanks for the info! We do have a wireless router at home. Is it pretty easy to hook to Nintendo's WiFi? I'll have to read up on this.

Yeah, its very easy to hook up to their WiFi network.

Cool Thanks! The Nintendo DS's are new to us and I was hesitant to let them buy them ( both DS and DD saved their money and bought them) since they have the SP's but I gotta say the DS's are pretty cool - I love their Nintendogs game and I'm anxious to give them the Animal Crossing games for Xmas! :flower: Gonna go read up on the WIFI now .

I don't have a clue what Animal Crossing is -- I thought this was going to be a thread about Sarah Michelle Gellar going into rehab :)

LOL - I'm a Buffy fan - hence the nickname the kids gave me - LOL

Animal Crossing is a game for Game Cube and it can be addicting. You make up your own town and have to take care of it. The kids never pull any of the weeds so that is my job - LOL

My husband just played this game again. It has been soooo long since he has been to his town, it was just FULL of weeds. I am really afraid to go to my town now since it has been even longer since i have played.

Ooh I am glad to hear this -- Santa is bringing this game for the Gamecube. It is so hard to find something that the whole family can play--do you think our 5 year old DD will be able to play this?

I think it is easy enough for a 5 year old, but it does have reading in it. That would be my only concern.

Oh, I was seriously addicted to this game last year!

Had to have all of the special furniture (love the Snowman series!), Gracie clothes, catch all the fish and the bugs, fill the museum, get all the Redd items, earn all the special models...

Just a little OC here! :teeth:

It's a great game, and if you have more than one memory card you can travel to other towns on the train!

How funny! I recently started playing this game 2 weeks ago, I also pull all the weeds. Everyone is moving away from my town to dd's!!!!:confused3
Her town is "more fun" they say.

WIFI, huh??? We have a wireless router....hmm. Need to do some reading.

It is definately fun for the whole family - you may have to help your 5 year old with some of the reading though. Watch out it is very addictive.

Oh great -- now instead of the kids begging us to play games we will be begging them to let us play ;)

LOL - Right now we are all in BooTown - The kids just run around and play and buy stuff while poor ole me is the only one pulling weeds.

IF you go to Nintendo's site you can look up to see which McDonalds in your area has the WIFI :flower:

LOL - that is what happens here - we argue about whose turn it is and who is hogging the gamecube - LOL
