I will be up in the world from June 10-15. What are the best buffett restaurant w/ or w/out characters @ the best price?

I'm sorry I'm not very good at remembering prices but all the buffet prices are very similar.

Best Buffets for breakfast I would say are Crystal Palace at MK and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club

Lunch and Dinner buffets are good at Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary and again at Cape May Cafe

All the above are character.

We haven't had this non-character buffet yet but will do in May and that's the Cape May Clam Bake Buffet at the Beach Club - it sounds fab!!

My personal faves are (in order):
Boma: 23.99 dinner, 14.99 bkfst
Cape May Cafe Clam Bake: 23.99 dinner
Biergarten: 14.99 lunch, 19.99 dinner (we usually do lunch - it's not much different)

I haven't tried it yet, but the Trail's End Buffeteria at Ft. Wilderness gets rave reviews. At only 15.99 for dinner and 9.99 for lunch it's probably one of the best deals on property.

None of those are character meals.

I keep seeing that everyone on the board loves Boma, but some people talk about "different" foods. What do they mean by different and are desserts included in the price?

The food is based on authentic African influences, matching the decor and theming of AKL.

The best price for a buffet is Fort Wilderness Pioneer Hall's lunch buffet. I think is was about $8.99 for adults and $4.99 or $5.99 for kids. We went just as lunch was ending. We had the place to ourselves. The food was much better than I expected. Campfire type food ~ chili, meat, etc.,. Lots of salads and veggies and great desserts too. We would do this one again! We planned it so that we would eat a late lunch and went over to Beaches and Cream for $2.49 ice cream cones for dinner. It was a cheap Disney meal day!

Best Character Breakfast: Cindy's

Cape May Cafe was great! It wasn't a restaurant we were planning to go to, but we had cancelled Hoop Dee Doo and needed an alternative. I had read on these boards that it was good, so we gave it a try. They had lots of shellfish- shrimp, mussels, clams, clam chowder, plus salmon, prime rib, roasted chicken, ribs, potatoes, rice, veggies, several salads, melon, bread, pasta, a kids buffet which had chicken strips/fish nuggets/mac and cheese & hot dogs, and the dessert buffet was awesome- cheesecake, key lime pie, donuts, tarts, apple cobbler, chocolate cake, cookies, taffy....I thought it was a good deal at $23.99- that includes coffee/tea/soft drink. It is esp. a good deal if you like seafood- people had PILES of shrimp and clams on their plates- I'm sure they got the $24 worth!

How could I have forgotten Bomas - that place is great - I love all the food here. Some wonderful salads. Great desserts I was in heaven :)

We were over at Trails' End for dinner one nite by sheer accident last October whie waiting for the next Haunted hayride. As other posters have suggested - it is a great value and very good - I took the Bread Pudding recipe home with me! Wanted to get back this visit but never got a chance - see my dining reviews! -
TRails' End is one of the few places, too, that doesn't need or even HAVE PS's! I think everyone's at Hoop-de-Doo or something!

Enjoy!

We also greatly enjoyed Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness. Great food for a very reasonable price. :D

The only other buffet we've tried is Cape May. We had dinner there and really liked it. The food was delicious and the desserts were especially excellent! :p

DH and I really enjoyed the buffet at Hollywood and Vine at MGM. The price wasn't bad, and the food was pretty good. You may be able to find prices for the buffets online at wdwig.com - the restaurant menus posted usually give a price.

Sorry I'm not very good with prices but I seem to remeber Akershus in Norway as being one of the best value buffets.
