Buffets Going Forward

I didn't see it asked, so if I missed it I apologize, but has Disney said what they are doing about buffets going forward? I can't imagine that they will allow self serve anymore because of Covid. I'm asking bc for 2021, I'm trying to decide if Chef Mickeys would even be worth it, even if we do stay at BLT

Reports are the Biergarten and Chef Mickey's are reopening with serving "family style" instead of buffet. No idea how long that will last. Supposedly they will serve some of the "favorites". I would want to see a menu because I wouldn't trust that what they think is a favorite is what I would think of as a favorite.

My thinking is that once the buffet style places alter their procedures to accommodate either standard sit down or family style meals, there is a good chance they will remain this way. I won’t say buffets are gone forever, but I get the feeling that in Disney World, it could be a very long time before we see buffets again.

Disney hasn't decided what will happen with these places. It no doubt depends on their experience going forward.
