buffet, to go?

Since I will be a party of just one person, and in a rush, is it allowed to pay for a buffet, but take the food to go? I'm sure I will eat less by doing this, so it wouldn't hurt the restaurant, but I'm curious if it is allowed. I see people do it at my local Chinese buffet, but not sure how WDW feels about it.

Specifically, the restaurant is the Wave's breakfast buffet. Curious if anyone has done this.

I haven't, but why not just do grab and go or takeout at Contempo at CR instead?

Your local Chinese buffet very likely has a set price for a single go-to container. Most buffets prohibit this.

You really need to make a different plan.

The local Chinese buffet has a stated policy of price per pound. Disney does not.

It's not an option.

I would think a better - and possibly cheaper - option would be to go to Contempo Cafe and get it to go, or if that's not your resort, check out the other QS options either at the park or resort where you are staying for a quick bite.

The Wave offers a buffet and an ala carte menu. If not the buffet, then order from the menu. But, if in a hurry, choose CS or grab n go.

No. There is not take out. There's no point to a buffet if you need to rush through it...price point, food, atmosphere... I agree with other, just do QS.

The Wave also has a menu, if you are in a hurry order from the menu and then ask them to pack it up. However, they aren't going to just take orders to go. Don't think you will be allowed to assemble a to-go container from the buffet, but you can ask while you are there if it's an option.

I would be very surprised if The Wave permitted one person to fill a take out container from the buffet. I can see the result: I’ll just go down and get breakfast to bring back to the room for the family, paying for a single diner after stuffing the container full of scrambled eggs and bacon, or whatever.

This will absolutely not be allowed. And just out of curiosity, why would you even do this? Do you know how much these buffets cost?

Id never get a buffet to go...kinda defeats the purpose of all you can eat. Thats just me.

But even with a full container, for the cost, you could get three meals from QS.
