Hello. Brand new here and this is my first post. My question is for anyone who has recently returned from HIFS about the night buffet. We are going first part of October and have the Florida Lottery deal. We are going to try and use the buffet three nights. Please tell me if it is worth it and if the buffet is any good. Plus thanks to these boards, my trip is costing much less. Thanks.:bounce:

The dinner buffet is your basic buffet fare, what I mean is nothing fancy, but good. I wouldn't be happy paying 13-17$ for it but for free everyone in our party thought it was great. They have a nice salad bar set up and a different soup every night, and the entrees are different every night too. They also have a small bar set up with kid friendly foods like mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc. Everyone seemed to find something they liked and we all always went away happy. We thought this promo was a great value, and we saved a ton on food. We were in sticker shock when we checked into the Contemporary. I've been to disney many times but it still gets me some of the prices they charge for food! I hope this helps.

Hello DisneyTJ- We were there last Memorial Week. We enjoyed the dinner buffet, and we had to pay for it. It has all the standards you find at other buffets, and each night they had a carving station, and one night a week is seafood and the special was king crab legs, DH did get his money's worth.

We were there in May under the Family Values package-2 adult vouchers for dinner for each night we stayed. It wasn't the best food I've ever eaten, but since it was included in our hotel price we ate there every night. I don't think the buffet is worth $14 though. If you like seafood-then the $18 for the Friday night buffet is worth it-all you can eat crab legs. If we had to pay, I'd order off the regular menu and the kids would still be able to eat free off the buffet. We've stayed at HIFS twice and would stay there again without hesitation. Also, the breakfast buffet is standard American-once again not the greatest I've eaten but it's good, there's enough choice to make everyone in your party happy, you don't have to hunt out a restaurant, and it fuels you up for a big day at the parks!
