Is this still offered as an alternative to sit down breakfast? I know you have to be out of room before 8am. Any recent info appreciated.

I'm not sure which boat you're sailing on but we always do cabanas on the last morning. We just cruised in October. It's so fast and easy. I can't imagine going to the dining room at 6:15am!

We are going on the Dream. This is our 6th cruise and we have always gone to the buffet around 730-745am. The food is out until 830am. Someone is now telling me that they are cracking down on this ?? Just wondered if anyone recently had issues.

Just off the Dream Monday January 12. No issues. In fact, the hot food was offered starting at 6:30 AM or perhaps even a little earlier, which surprised me as Cabanas is usually "continental breakfast only" until 7:00. Had the hot breakfast and was down at the lobby by 6:40 or so to prepare for walk-off.

We just came off the January 4-11th 2015 Western Cruise on the Magic. Your Servers on the last night still advise you to come early to the sit down breakfast in the Dining Room you last had dinner. Cabana's is still open with a buffet, we went there around 8am and ate then when back to room for luggage then left the ship a little before 9am.

Thanks so much. This is what I was wanting to find out. Someone told me me they were cutting back the time on this. I do know they prefer you to go to the sitdown, but we prefer the buffet and would rather have breakfast around 730am.

We always enjoy the sit down because it is a last chance to visit with our server before we head home. The food comes out quick and we can be off the ship quickly and be home before 9:00 am.

We now prefer Cabanas for last breakfast. Too many times we have found the MDR last breakfast to be slow and not so great. As much as we usually love seeing our servers sometimes on the last morning they are very busy so we prefer saying good bye at the last dinner in the MDR.

I'm planning to do breakfast in Cabanas for the first time on my upcoming Magic cruise. I want to get off the ship ASAP (not usually what I want to do), so I can get to work on time that Sunday. :rotfl: I know my bf will be sad not to have the sit down breakfast, but I'm honestly looking forward to it. I kind of hate the MDR breakfasts on the last morning!

Has anyone ever had Palo dinner on the last night and then not gone to breakfast in the MDR the last morning? I'm assuming the tips just get automatically credited to your servers, yes?

This is great! We are doing a back to back so the plan is to go to the buffet and take our sweet old time, get off and then right back on. :cool1:

Well, you still have to be off by 9:00, and it's not right back on. Typically you will be in the terminal anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple of hours (usually toward the longer time).

That's a great plan. Since they won't reboard you until the ship is clear, eating a leisurely breakfast (they stop serving at 8:30 SHARP but don't hassle you to leave until close to 9), then enjoy the atrium until you finally "have" to disembark. You'll feel like you are getting right back on. A short relaxation in the concierge area, meet others who are doing the same, then back to an eerily empty ship.

It's easy, Disney makes it easy, you can't go wrong. No need to worry, you'll get a letter the night before and plenty of CMs in the terminal to help you out.

This is what we did our last cruise in Palo our last night and Cabana's the last morning. I see the envelopes more a courtesy to have you feel you have given something, allow those that like to give cash or more than the standard charged amount (we've done previous in additional cash). Even though we did not see our server team the last night or our last breakfast (we always prefer Cabana's for convenience and our own pace/time the last morning), the tips charged to our account did not change from planned (budgeted) and the statement obtained from Guest Services prior to leaving the ship.

I was bummed because cabanas didn't have any mickey waffles the last day. I don't know if that's always the case. I just wanted one last mickey waffle before I had to go home to the cold cruel snow...lol

In the last morning I'm not surprised they didn't, it's cut down somewhat, better selection then what it was a few years ago though I feel.
