DAXX: What do you guys think of La Nova's up there?

La Novas is good! They are related to my neighbors too.

My favorite place for wings (for those from the area is Central Park Grill, the good old CPG on Main near the old Trico plant)

And if you want pretty good wings and you're not in this area try Buffalo Wild Wings, my DH actually says theirs are not too bad.

I like my wings mild, he likes them hot (and no blue cheese for him). 2 of the girls like them mild and 1 DD likes them hot. She puts that hot sauce on everything.

Anchor Bar has started catering more toward tourists or the occasional wing eater. Duffs is where it's at - cheaper, yummier, more authentic.

The best are the local eateries that serve 6 wings with half a beef on weck. Wash it all down with a loganberry while watching the Sabres game. And if it's spring, maybe the sauce is made with butter from a butter lamb. Go Buffalo!

People from elsewhere don't understand the firece loyalty we have to our hometown. Well, I moved back to WNY and now I convince newbies to the area that Anderson's or Polish Villa (etc) are better than Applebees and other chains.
