So just over 2 weeks until we head off for March Break :banana::banana:

Our flight is at 2pm and we will want to be arriving at BUF around 12pm. So right now the plan is to leave home an hour earlier than normal so that we can go and have brunch before going to the airport. What is near the airport and simple to find??? We would want a Denny's/Perkins type place. We usually just go straight to the airport so I have never even looked around that area.

Thanks :)

We usually enjoy the Olive Garden. Check online on the Olive Garden website but I saw one on Monday when I drove to BUF to pick up my mom after her cruise. Go for the soup salad and breadsticks and you'll be stuffed for your flight.

As much as I luv Olive Garden I think we want breakfast items. We would be arriving at the restaurant around 10:30-11am.

There's also a Friendly's right near the airport. And two Tim Hortons, if you want the more "Canadian" choice. :rotfl:

What date are you flying out? If it's the Friday(11th) or anytime on the weekend before the March Break, I would suggest you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight. My sister and I went for March Break and the security line was a nightmare, took us an hour just to get through that (after waiting half an hour in line to check our luggage). Also check the border wait times that morning in case it's crazy busy, or you'll be taking more time than you want to. We have ran for our plane once, and my husband would rather sit at the gate for over an hour than do that again, trust me! Even on the airline websites, it says to arrive at least 3 hours prior to departure if possible. Especially on such a busy travel week. We leave next Tuesday, our flight is at 3:55 out of Buffalo and I live 5 min. from the border - we are leaving home at noon and hope to be at the gate by 2pm or sooner with my book and Ipod!
Have fun!

You have no idea how Timmies crazy we are.:love::love: Too bad we couldn't get our Timmies(we like their tea) and take it through security. That would be totally up my alley to sit and wait for my flight with my Timmies tea in hand. I'll have to just imagine it....sadly it can never be. :sad1:

Now that you mention it I remember seeing it across the street. That will be handy for when we get off the plane to go home.....tea for the road.

This place is so good. Coffee is great, food is amazing... only service is a little slow. I love this place...

The Williamsville location is only 10 minutes from the airport. If you google map it, you'll see it's a pretty direct route to the airport as well.

AMEN TO THIS! :cool1: service can be a little slow, but the food is SO worth it!!! I live about 15 minutes from the Orchard Park location, but there is also one in Williamsville and Amherst. This place is my family's #1 choice to go out for breakfast. It blows IHOP right out of the water. Definitely recommend this place. :thumbsup2

All good points. We fly on Tues. 15th at 2pm. So a little bit into MB. I will for sure take your advise into consideration. A agree with you on being at the gate early rather than late. I have no problem sitting and watching the planes for an hour or two. It's boring but a million time better than the stress of the alternative. I guess we have always hit it lucky....we have never had to wait in any lines at BUF. That said we generally are flying in the late afternoon or evening. So far, never in the morning. I've been told by a few friends that it's very busy in the morning.

We're considering bringing the take-home tea bags with us so that the tea tastes like home at WDW :D

I'm sitting here right now with my large RUTR. I also love my PC Orange Pekoe which is what I have at home and always bring with me on any vacation. I've even been known to secretly slip a tea bag out of my purse in a restaurant.....only for breakfast though. I gotta have a good one in the morning.

I've had those tea bag from Timmies and they are not quite the same .....it might be the water. I don't know but I'm fairly sure that Tim is slipin' a little somethin' somethin' in it. ;)

It's pure Canadian crack. :rotfl2:

Even half-*** Timmies is better than Liptons. :cutie:

It's the lack of Timmies today, it's clearly getting to me :D

There is a Denny's literally seconds away from the airport. It is on Genesee just past Holtz, on the same side of the street as the airport. It might be 100yards from the airport property. There is also an Olympic restaurant across the street from Denny's, it is a greek style restaurant that serves breakfast all day long.

Enjoy your vacation!

There is a Denny's right in front of the Best Western by the airport. And right across the airport there is a Timmy's and I think a Mc D's as well.

Have a fun trip.

Sign up with Denny's online for their club or whatever they call it a week before you go or so - they email you a printable coupon for 20% off your entire bill- it is only good for a couple of weeks before it expires can't remember exactly so that is why I said wait till a week or so before you go. Denny's has great breakfast food! We've stayed at that Best Western behind Denny's a couple of times-got it on priceline for around $54 a night - then can just walk over to Denny's.
