Hello we are trying to decide what hotel to stay at. A breakfast buffet is a must for hubby. Looking for something with the most space we have 3 kids ages 7. 13, 17. Appreciate thoughts & past experiences.

Stayed at Buena Vista Suites - Embassy Suites LBV South, LBV, International and Downtown. They really are not on the same level of hotel but....

If the breakfast is an important factor then they really isn't any comparison between the two. The Embassy Suites is a far better quality.

If I were to review Buena Vista Suites quickly I would say the suites themselves were well appointed and roomy similar to an Embassy Suites (maybe slightly smaller) but the pool was way too small for the resort and the breakfast and breakfast area was very disappointing. I would stay again for the suite and good location but I wouldn't plan during a time I wished to utilize the pool nor eat breakfast there.

We have stayed at both and both are fine.

I would say the rooms are about 10 percent smaller at Buena Vista Suites, but overall nice. I did not use the pool at either place, so I won't comment on that.

The breakfast at Buena Vista was about 20 percent less impressive than Embassy Suites. Still, as free breakfasts go, it was a better than average.

When I have stayed at Embassy, breakfast has always been a madhouse. Buena Vista was less so. That could be luck or timing.

The location of Buena Vista is great. A quick drive to the parks. Slightly better than Embassy. Also, it was about $100 less to stay there over 3 nights.

Now, if you demand a super breakfast and the free beer and snacks at Embassy, it might to worth it to a little bit more, depending on what rates you get.

In the end, I guess my take is both are fine, with an edge to Embassy, but an edge that can be erased by saving money at Buena Vista Suites.

With three kids, particularly with teens, you'd need two rooms at the Embassy Suites. Your best bet might be a 2 bedroom Residence Inn unit. They are the only hotel that comes to mind with 2 bedrooms.

On the other hand, for what you'd save renting a condo or house, you could go buy your husband a nice breakfast every morning.

We stayed at Embassy Suites LBV South in May for 9 days with five of us. Our youngest child is 20. We did just fine, the suite is spacious and much of our time was in the parks.

If you are considering a two bedroom we have stayed at Staybridge Suites Lake Buena Vista just outside DTD. They have just renovated them and they are very nice, modified kitchen and a great hot breakfast buffet.
