Buena Vista Palace Bus to Parks-- please help!

I am taking a quick trip to Disney and we are staying at the Buena Vista Palace. I am wondering how the bus service works to the parks, like MK... does it take you to the ticket and transportation center?

Is it better to catch the buses at Downtown Disney to the parks?
