budget or national?

we are picking up 10/23 and returning to Tampa airport on 11/2

I can get about the same rates for both($400 for intermediate including all the taxes)

Budget is on site at Tampa. I like Emerald Isle.

How does Budget compare?

They both have the free driver for spouse which I want

Have used both in the past and both were fine, but given that the prices are about the same, I'd go with National because I much prefer choosing my vehicle on the EI. (Assume you're picking up at MCO?) As for drop-off at Tampa- wouldn't really make much difference to me if one is on-site and one requires a shuttle.

I assumed you could pick your own car with budget at orlando because of this from mousesavers

Budget is located on airport property in Orlando. You can just walk right out to the garage to pick up your car.

maybe you don't get to "pick it out"? we have never gotten anything exciting on the emerald isle

maybe a shuttle is better because then they drop you with your luggage?
