Budget or Dollar?

Has anyone had experience with either? They are both in the terminal and they both are offereing similar prices. Has anyone had good service with either? Is one more convenient or does one have quicker service? Thanks for any info!

I've only used Budget. Several years back, they were horrible. I mean, the prices were good, but the service at MCO was unbelievably slow. We ended up wasting at least an hour at the Budget counter (and that was a good day!).

But the last time we used them, they were really good. Seems they streamlined their procedures and were getting customers through the line much faster. I would rent from them again after that experience.

We had a bad experience checking our car in last year with Budget. They changed computer systems during our trip and it was a mess. They only had one person working and he must have argued with the guy in front of us for 45 minutes. We just couldn't understand installing a new computer system that didn't keep all the previous reservations in the system and then only having one person working to deal with the problems. We had first tried to drop the car off without going to the counter but their hand-held system didn't work either. We have decided we will try someone else for our trip next year.

Right now, the lowest rate I have is with Alamo followed closely by Dollar.

Both times that we've rented through Dollar we were given complimentary upgrades!

I'm using Dollar again in a couple weeks.

We use Dollar most of the time. We have had very good luck with them. Used L&M once and the car they gave us seemed a little run down.
