budget friendly 10 yr anniversary idea

My dh and I will be celebrating our 10 yr anniversary the end of this month... we will be kid free on Friday....would love to hear some ideas that aren't too expensive...was thinking of renting a hotel room and going to a nice restaurant in town

How about a picnic? You could do the picnic inside the room surrounded by flowers and candles.

This! I love hotwire, we have gotten some great deals from there. The best one we've scored was the Hilton in downtown Providence for something like $60. If you feel like making the effort comparing the star ratings on hotwire and the amenities listed with other travel sites you can almost always figure out which hotel you are getting, too (As long as you aren't going to an area with LOTS of hotels, like Orlando or something-too many hotels to figure out which one you're getting!) But I've usually been successful in figuring out which hotel I was getting by doing this.

And I actually got an email from restaurant.com this morning. Most $25 gift certificates are available for just $2 if you use the code "DEAL" at checkout-this promotion ends on Monday. But, its a pretty good deal! They usually have a restriction of your bill has to be $35-$50, but if your bill ended up being $50 it would still be less than $40 OOP including a 20% gratuity.
