Budget fastbreak question

I'm reading here on board conflicting statements.....using FastBreak for the first time at MCO.

Some people are saying if you are using FastBreak for the first time you need to go to inside counter first, then some you can go directly to the garage kiosk.

Is there anyone who used Budget and FastBreak for the first time? What did you do?

Thanks!

If you booked it online with your cc#, drivers licence info, insurance options etc., just go out to the lot and pick up your car.

I used Fastbreak at MCO for the first time and several times since. Each time, we proceeded directly to the garage to the key pick up kiosk. This is what the signs at the big inside line say to do.

Thanks for info. Yes, we booked our car with all the info online.

Head to the kiosk desk to pick up the contract and car. No need to stop by the counter. Which is good because budget is busy whenever I go.

I hate to say it, but I found the Budget Fastbreak kiosk at MCO to be very slow both times I have used them. It's not like the Hertz #1 Club Gold where keys and the rental agreement are waiting in the car; the process was only slightly faster than picking up a car without membership. And, because there were multiple employees at the inside desk but only one at the small Fastbreak key kiosk, one time the Fastbreak experience was slower than just going inside.

This will be my first time with Fastbreak also. Do you pay for your rental at the kiosk, or did you already prepay before leaving home?

As long as you gave them the credit card info when you made the reservation, they charge that card when you return the car.

Thank you. Now, when making your online reservation, you opt to "pay now" or do you choose "pay at counter"?

I know you can save a few dollars by doing "pay now", however I don't like to do that (personal choice). If your travel plans should change, or if you need to cancel the reservation, I'm pretty sure the amount you paid is non-refundable.

Thank you, Thank you! I, too , didn't like the "pay-now" idea, but was afraid my good rates may change if I didn't lock in to "pay-now". What a relief! So, "pay at counter", that includes using the Fastbreak kiosk?...or for my first time renting, is it just best to stand in line at desk?

Your rate will not change if you do "pay at counter" instead of "pay now". As long as they have all your info (credit card, drivers license number, etc.) in your Fastbreak record there is no need to stand in line at the counter. Depending on what time your flight arrives in Orlando, there can be a VERY long line at the counter. Late morning to mid-afternoon has been the worst times that I've seen.
