Budget Board List of Favorite Things--Think Oprah!!

Mine are:

1. Fuzzy harry looking white slippers from Kmart (joe boxer brand) Sooo comfy. I think payless sells the same ones in multiple colors.

2. Chocolate Treat Maker from QVC's Cook's Essentials Line. It's so easy to use and fun! I'm making the family chocolate covered pretzels and other treats with it for Christmas this year.

3. Airwick Scented Oils in Vanilla Indulgence scent, they smell wayyy better than BBW Wallflowers and are a lot cheaper.

4. Frito Lay mild cheddar in the can. MMMMMMM!! I could live on chips and cheese dip!! I'm thinking of getting my sister a case for Christmas as a sort of joke gift since I'm always eating all of hers. Ha!

5. Bath and Body works body wash in "Cotton Blossom" scent. It smells sooo fresh and clean.

I've just started my holiday baking - so mine are kitchen related

Pampered Chef small scoop - makes nice even cookies, and much more hygenic than the old spoon/finger duo. how did I live without this gadget????

My professional baking pans - my old cookie sheets were on their last legs a year ago, as a surprise DH went to a cooking supply store and bought me 2 1/2 sheet pans. they are the best! and not expensive either.

Kitchen Aid stand mixer :flower:

The wipes are Kandu wipes and we love them too!!!!

Yes with a little lizard wiping his bum! I about died when I took a closer look at them. :rotfl: (however they are nice, and not just for kids you know! :rolleyes1 )

I have to give it more thought to my favorite things, just suscribing for now. :goodvibes

DisneyPhd - I would have thought Silver Jewelry would have been on your favorite things list :goodvibes

I'm another fan of Downy vanilla lavender softener. I don't use it on every load though.

Clairol root-touchup kits
getting photos printed at Target via yahoo photos - so easy!
drive thru Dunkin Donuts coffee
Friday nights
planning a vacation
finding cool threads on the DIS! :disrocks:

I have to agree with the Mr Clean Magic Erase. I always had it to do my walls, but a friend of mine just told me it works on GROUT! I can scrub my grout with bleach and it does not come as clean as this Magic Erase! I heard that you can also use it on your shower walls, but I have not tried that. I am using this on so much right now with my cleaning!

One thing I LOVE this time of year, and yes they are expensive but sooo worth it - The Mrs. Prindables Apples. They are $19.00 an apple (a BIG apple) with chocolate carmel and walnuts. I did pick one up this past weekend with the Macy's $10.00 coupon which brought it down to $9.00. I wish I had gotten more.

QVC sells Mrs. Prindables and their prices are so much better than at the stores. www.qvc.com

Yes, yes, yes!
I love this too in the Coffee flavor, delish. I have to scoop it into a half cup measuring cup to keep myself from eating the whole thing. I also put in it the garage freezer so I dont see it all the time. Like somehow I am going to forget it is there. :rotfl:

Another love is Forum Credit Union online banking and online bill pay, now I only write five checks a month and four of them are to my mom for DD. :cloud9:

Just found this from Macy's last weekend, Twas the night before Christmas story on CHINA! My aunt has the whole blasted collection, estimation nearly $1500.00 over the past 4 years since she found it, but they add new items every year as well. This is really beautiful Chistmas china, very whimsical. The online pictures dont do it justice. Would be a really fun set to start for DD- pick up 1-2 pieces every year, but then where do you store them? What if they stop making the print? (then you are forced into buying it on ebay... still thinking on this one.)

Creme Brulee coffee mate creamer
Home Interiors sandlewood and Suede sented candles.
Jack Daniels flavored coffee from Target
My new Mickey Mouse Duvet cover from Disney Shopping
I also have to agree with Mr Clean,Downy vanilla lavender softener and the Kandu wipes.

I love the new St. Ives Apricot Cream Cleanser for younger looking skin and it's about $2.00 per bottle.

Also, Sally Hansen Radiant Hands, Nails & Cuticules creme. It's truly like a manicure in a bottle for about $4.00 per bottle.

Here are my 2005 new finds:

Delicato Pinot Grigio: about $6 a bottle and so good!
Victoria Secret Cuticle and Hand Cream: the one that came free with the $50 purchase last week
Rugs-Direct.com: very reasonable pricing and free shipping
knitting: ok, not really a product, but it keeps me from snacking at night
Fox's new "Prison Break" show: so addictive, and Wentworth is H-O-T!
Hardy's Lavender bath oil: the bottle is beautiful, and the oil feels SILKY in the bath
Carl Hiaasen: Author of hilarious fiction. I just finished "Lucky You" and laughed the whole way through. I usually read romantic suspense, so this is a big change for me.
Pink: An energy drink kinda like Red Bull, but marketed toward women. It has only 10 calories and tastes really, really good.

Brown Russett Potato Chips
(now I don't have to dig through the bag to find the well done chips)
Wacky Packages
Mad Magazine
Sudoku Puzzles
Black Friday

Carl Hiaasen:
Oh he is great! He now has written a kid's book (for about ages 10-13) called Hoot. My daughter is reading it now.

I so agree on this gypsy....except I took up crocheting....my girls are getting the first two big projects(afghans) for Christmas!!

Cuts down on the snacking...so that is a budget help...and the afghans are cheaper than MP3 players :rotfl:

I would add in 2005 my favorite budget find/use was:

the Eeyore I found at the Disney Store last week for $4

The Disney store was good to me for clearance items this year

Loving this thread!!

My favorite thing of 2005 is Honest Tea. Not only are the Iced Teas delicious, they are organic and only have a little bit of sugar. So they're not too sweet, have very few carbs and are free of any artificial sweeteners.

My favorite things are :

My beautiful children.......all 7 of them
See's Chocolate - especially the milk chocolate Bourdoux
Dunkin Doughnuts coffee
Wegman's All Natural coffee ice cream
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Zout - gets almost all stains out of clothes
sweatshirts
lilacs
sudoko puzzles
Christmas morning
Jet Blue
State Fair
Musicals - especially Rent (because I just saw it)
singing at the top of my lungs through the Pirates of the Carribean pirate:

What are these Wallflowers that have been mentioned??

TIA
They are the Bath and Body version of a plug-in, but last longer and smell wonderful. Just be sure and wait for them to go on sale, because they can be pricey!
Another great item for those with EXTREMELY DRY skin is the Bath and Body Works, Spa Collection, "Lay it on Thick" Body cream. It is made with Shea Butter and is the BEST creme for dry skin I have ever used! It doesn't smell wonderful, but it will make my cracked and scaley elbows feel like silk after 1-2 applications. My friend recommended it, but it costs $20.00, so I balked! She bought me one in a trial size and it is worth every penny of the $20.00. I love it! :)
