Thanks! I’m thinking for the sail away party!

Should be ok...though again, be aware of others as some people are actually allergic to commercial bubble solution.

And remember that in the event of inclement weather, Sail Away will be in the atrium/main hall (depending on ship class).

You'll be surprised at HOW MANY people are crammed together (in a good way) for Sail Away. Bubbles might not be appreciated by everyone for various reasons. Whatever you decide, have a great cruise!

As someone said above, bubbles on already wet or damp surfaces can cause very slippery conditions and falls.

Not only is this not true, DCL used to sell bubble wands during pirate night. I am not sure if they still do or not because my kids are adults now. However Pirate Night still has tons and tons of bubbles.

Google results say the use of bubbles is 'contentious' on Disney Cruises or in the Parks . Disney is in the entertainment business so that should really be enough? Maybe on your balcony or at the beach . . . . ?

Maybe it is contentious between guests but is fully approved in Disney eyes (look at all the bubble wands they sell). There are many things that are contentions between guests (like should adults who wait for a good viewing spot allow a child in front of them) where Disney is clearly not taking a side but on bubbles Disney is firmly in the pro side (they want to make that coin)

The issue is - bubbles on asphalt/concrete = not particularly slippery. Bubbles on ship decks = can be quite slippery. We've been on cruises where they announced "no bubbles on deck".

Interesting because I know last in April 2024 DCL was selling bubble wands that light up on deck at the pirate night party. Thats the last time I noticed them being sold but its because its when I had a cruise friend with a younger child hanging out with us. What DCL ship were you on when you heard that? Was it a preshow announcement?

ETA- Did a bit of googling and I am seeing reports that as of last month they were being sold on DCL (and crazy pricey too!).

I can't recall exactly which cruise it was, but it was a while ago. AND there were a LOT of bubbles being used on deck around the pools every day. It was a general announcement, over the PA system.

Like with the DCL chimes type of announcement? Was it mixed into the general like noon announcements or was it a safety announcement? (I always struggle to hear those on the pool deck and wish they would put them in the app to read).

If you haven't used these ones before, I would bring smaller ones or the ones that are more like little pots. This kind tends to be really drippy and flings off the wand really easily. Also, if for little kids they tend to tip them to dip the wands and dump them on accident.

I would maybe do a wand like they sell at Disney (I know, I know) or the little ones that are like party favors.
