Bubble Mix recipe needed

I am having about 20 kids over for a back to school water party next week and want to have a few pans of bubble mix and giant wands available for the younger ones. I have tried a few recipes in the past and none ever work right. Does anyone have a foolproof recipe? Thanks!

I made this for a Kids Fest that my DS preschool held. The bubbles were awesome and really held thier shape.

6 cups Water (Distilled)
2 cups Joy Dish Soap
¾ cups Corn Syrup

Combine ingredients, shake, let set for 4 hours

I think your bubbles will hold up better if you add glycerin to your mixture. 2/3 cup of Dawn, 1 gallon of water and a few tablespoons of glycerin (you can buy it at Walgreens).

I use the one above with corn syrup and it works pretty well. But watch out if you have ants--the sugar ants in my yard LOVE this bubble mix!

I looked at several stores for those big jugs of mix and couldnt find any at any cost. Maybe its too late in the year? I'd MUCH rather just buy the stuff.

We just bought a few giant half gallon bottles at walgreens for 75 percent off- they came to lke 50 cents a bottle!

I couldn't find the big jugs of bubbles either this year.. I used 1/2 gallon of water 1 cup of dawn and a tablespoon of sugar.. worked great! Even cheaper than the 1$ bubbles. I could get few gallons of bubbles out of a 2$ dawn heck I even used the generic 1$ version of dawn.. still worked great!
