Bubble guns

I know we all feel much safer with the bubble guns no longer in the parks, but I heard from a friend recently that the "wand" that replaced them doesn't seem to work well and is hard to refill. Anyone else?

And beyond all that is the fact that it looks more like...well, something my wife would own.

Having been sprayed in the face by countless toddlers in strollers while waiting for the parade, I can assure you that those damn wands work very well. We sat near a glow cart and I noticed the CM would occassionally wipe the wand when the bubbles started to wane, which seemed to do the trick. As far as filling goes, I don't know. They seem to be an excellent pacifier for the stroller set and I would probably even fork over the money if I had a fussy little one. Now that they are wand shaped they must be easier to use for very little children.

Oh wow, I thought the bubbles were totally gone. I didn't realize that they had replaced the bubble guns with bubble wands! :crazy2: I was looking forward to a bubble free trip.

It's worse than you can even imagine. My mom is a retail cm and her store has a hard time keeping the wands in stock. The bubbles are everywhere, all day long.

I saw bubble guns last november during my trip, but I can't remember which park, maybe it was SeaWorld? idk, but I didn't know they were gone (or maybe gone only at Disney)
Anyway, I love bubbles :)

Yep - we were there last week and the number of bubbles in the air seemed to correlate directly with the number of strollers in the area. Every toddler seemed to have one, and they were all filling the air with soap.

They're gone at Disney because some idiot tried to bring a gun into the park. Typical overreaction. Can't speak for other parks.

To be clear - only the ones shaped like guns are gone. Hand held bubble "machines" are still allowed in the parks, and Disney now sells a variety of their own.

I (or rather my girls) have two of those bubble wands. The one wand worked great. One of the wands we purchased didn't work well, but we were able to return it and get another. They are kind of a pain to set up. You have open it and connect stuff and make sure tubes are in the correct place. We haven't tried to refill them as they don't sell bubbles in the park much to my 5 year old's dismay.

Yes, you are correct. You also may not buy a toy blunderbuss (that's an old-timey pirate gun) at the PotC gift shop anymore. Your fact doesn't change mine. It's an overreaction.
