I did start uploadind but haven't finished yet, The work related trip to Albany came up fast and I just got back last night and between unpacking and finding warmer clothes to wear I had NO Dis time !! Have been at woirk since 9 a.m and have another 6 hours to go !!

Stay tuned though cuz I have a Rosie Tale about Albany!!!

As you know I was the Chaperone for a group of 8 to The Self Advocacy Conference in Albany from Thursday to Saturday, along with no other than Dan. Also at the conference was a staff from my other job agency, who is also agood friend . I need to set the background a bit. We have very strict policies/ rules , that are designed to protect all our individuals , and they are assessed for many things such as being Home Alone , in the community alone and if they are sexually consenting
Sooooo when a young lady from the other agency and a young man from ours approached Dan with a request to spend the night together in her room, the other staff rolled off so many one liners such as "This situation could come to a HEAD" and so on Dan was rolling and of no help to me . I called the young man's house and asked IF he was consenting and if he usually carried protection, was informed he was but no he didn't carry protection and she then proceeded to tell me why, he clain\med he took care of hisd needs without the need for protection in explicit details. Okay I think this is more information than I need. While Dan and Tony are rolling around and again no help. I thren called the young ladies house and learned she too was consenting and on Birth control. Phew I think we are safe . At that point Tony says" Their coming" to which I reply" Knock it off , my ribs are hurting " No he says" I mean here they come" She walks up and immediately starts telling me about the workshop they attended on sexuality and they had Light up Condoms !!!! Of course you know what Fric and Frac were doing . Which room were you in Dan asks and Tony says "69" Dan dashes off to the room to see if they have any. In the meantime I have lost it and the young lady is looking at me like I am NUTS.. She proceeded to tell me she had some anyway, but appears mystified as to why we are asking
So having checked all the bases Dan told them it was okay!!
The next day I get a call from the assistant director , who had been called as a VERY inappropriate note had been left re my call , she said we handled it well, and was reklieved that the girl had her own room and no one else would witness it. After I turned to Dan and said I could have put it on the Recreation calendar for the others

I am telling you these things only happen to me !!!

I know we were too!! Tony sure didn't help with his non stop 1 liners and Dan just falling out laughing . He did conteplate going to the store to make the purchase BUT we would have used Agency money and that has to be Tax exempt Imagine him explaining why that needed to be Tax Exempt !!!!

Continuing with Universal:
After our lunch at Mythos we continued around the park a while and then decided to head back to the Hotel for a break and a swim !! Walking around the pool I spied this that brought back memories of Our Dog City Trip!!!

Several of the guys went swimming in the Gorgeous Pool at Royal Pacific !!

I love to capture the beautiful flowers of Florida

We then took the water taxi to CityWalk9 after we changed of course

These guys swam along side the taxi almost everyday

Off to upload more pix !!!

Glad to see you back updating, Rosie. That pools looks beautiful. Glad you got some swim time in after lunch.

I think Florida has some of the most beautiful flowers in the country.

Okay PB cooperated !!!!
Supper tonight was at Nascar

The guys enjoyed the Sports Bar atmoshere and the Big Screen TVs

We studied the menus and as ususal there was a variety of orders

This Chicken with pineapple not sure what it was called

This would be a Hamburger

This was on the appies list, Chilli as I recall , we told him it was an appie not a full meal but that was what he wanted

popcorn shrimp and sweet potatoe fries

Same but with onion rings

My fish and chips

Well 2 updates in 1 night not shabby !! Marv beat this !!Kathy already has ,she is an update machine

Don't worry Rosie, if I get to come on one of these trips with you and help one day I will be much more sympathetic to your plight and not be screwing around and crack jokes if one of these situations come up...........

Thanks Mary Ellen !!! We were nervous about no ressies but you honestly don't need them !!We had a party of 10 and always got in !!!

I did just want to share Samanatha got her driving licence today, she passed first time !!!!
