I am tweaking our plans for our trip in 2 weeks (yeah!). No FP left for 7DMT so can't change that. Currently have 315-415 BTMRR, 415-515 7DMT, 515-615 SM. My original plan was to start with dwarves, space, and work our way toward a park closing at BTMRR hitting what we want in between until the final FP time which was from 8-9 pm. I am rethinking that and changed BTMRR to the earlier time of 315-415, hoping that if we burn all 3 FP we may be able to grab some 4th, 5th, etc. We will probably not arrive at our BTMRR FP until the end of the window so around 4/415. With my new plan we are hitting BTMRR first and most likely not stopping in between for any additional rides until we get over to FL for our other 2 FP. We do plan to stay for fireworks and park close at 10. So, should we just hoof it over to dwarves or hop the train in frontierland and get off in fantasyland? The one time DD and I counted on the train plan to rest our feet, we were stopped on it for over a half hour and almost missed our FP. I realize I may have just answered my own ? here, but looking for Dis'ers advice! (And yes, I know I am seriously over thinking this!)

I would just walk. The next train stop is still quite a ways away from the entrance to 7 Dwarfs to really save a ton of steps. Maybe you could take the train from Main Street to Frontierland to try and save steps that way?

Def. walk, it's really never quicker to use the train as opposed to just walking.

Thank you. This is pretty much what I thought also. We have no reason to save steps other than to save our feet for the rest of the night! DH, DD and I are all certainly healthy enough to walk and since we will have just started into MK after a mid day break our feet should be refreshed at that point! Originally I had thought it was closer to the Fantasy land train stop, but after looking at the map closely there's not much difference.

As we learned the hard way once. Although that time our feet were spent and except for almost missing our FP we didn't mind the extra sitting time on the train!
