My family of 6 (Me, DH, DS8,DS6,DD4,DS1)is trying to decide between Bryan's Spanish Cove and Orbit One Vacation Villas. They both have privaledges to use Island One's Volcano Pool, but I wondered what the rooms were like and how big, clean, and Safe. Any advice from experienced vacationers out there is much appreciated!!! THANK YOU!! :cheer2:

We stayed at Orbit One in November. The unit was huge and very nicely furnished. The kitchen looked brand new. There was a nice glass dining table. Living room with sofabed and love seat, TV and VCP. Master bedroom had a king bed, TV, safe. Master bath has a jacuzzi tub. Second bedroom has 2 twins, TV, portable stereo. There is a screened-in patio accessible from the living room or master bedroom.

We loved it there and hope to get a unit there again this year. We booked through Skyauction for $261 for the week.

If you PM me your e-mail, I'd be happy to send some photos of the unit.

How close is Orbit One to the WDW area? I seem to remember driving by Bryan's Spanish Cove before---was it off of #535? Both of these are places I'm considering for our next stay, and I couldn't find any reviews on tripadvisor for Bryan's Spanish Cove.

Orbit One is on Entry Point Blvd. just off 192 West of I-4. When it crosses 192, Entry Point becomes Sherberth Road. That's the road that people use as a shortcut to Disney as it comes out right at Animal Kingdom. So to get to Disney from Orbit One, you don't need 192 or I-4. It was 3 miles door to door from Orbit One to AK or MGM, a bit farther to MK and EC since they are at the other end of the property. Very convenient.

For all who are interested, I posted several photos of the unit we had and the facility at my Webshots page:

Thanks, disneysteve. I think I have a good idea now about where Orbit One is. We stayed at Silver Lake recently, and that is a great area to be located at. I was wondering about other places close to Sherbeth Rd., as we found that to be a nice shortcut to Disney property. It is a bit further to MK and Epcot, but for staying off property for less, this looks to be a great area to be in!

Thanks for sharing your photos!

You have a choice. Stay in LBV and be closer to MK and EC or stay in Kissimmee and be closer to AK and MGM. I think it works out even over the course of your stay.

Double check the photo site because I may have still been uploading more when you checked, sweet maxine.

Orbit One looks to be a beautiful place! Looks like you really got a great deal on that one! I wish I had known about the offsite condo rentals last summer. We stayed at Fort Wilderness in a cabin and spent in two nights more than what you paid for the whole week! Ouch! I know better now.....

From the west side of Irlo, is it always advantageous to use Sherbeth, or only when heading towards AK?

Good question. I don't know that there's a firm answer. We always go off season, so 192 and I-4 are rarely if ever crowded. However, during busy times of year, I think you could be better off taking Sherberth regardless of your destination. Maybe someone who has been during peak season can comment.

:wave2: Hi: I have stayed at Bryan's Spanish Cove and it was great. The location is awesome for MK, EC and DTD. I really love the LBV area because of the outlet malls and proximity to Sea World and the airport. I can't remember too much about the units. They were fairly standard - nothing fancy but clean. I do remember that their pool was one of the warmest ones I have ever been in! :cloud9: The resort is small but the staff was extremely friendly and we met a lot of great people. You simply can't beat the location.

I've read at least one source that suggests anyone staying *west* of Mile 5 on 192 (i.e. west of Sherbeth itself) is better of on Sherbeth. Not so much for the distance saved, but you avoid traffic lights.

Great Pics! Looks like a nice place!!!! Can't wait to try it out!!Thanks for sharing your pics!!! :sunny:

Thank you, talicskai..............I know you say you don't remember much, but if it were bad, you probably would have never forgotten it, am I right?? :teeth:

Anyone else have any information about BSC........I'm trying to decide if I win an auction (RSG) and I have to pick between the two of these, which I should pick.

Thanks for any info you can share.
