I have been researching around about having a brunch buffet reception for the Wishes Wedding package. Does anyone know the approximate cost of a brunch and if you had this type of reception where it was located? The website doesn't seem to show many options of this type. Thanks!

You can hold your reception almost anywhere you want. We're having a bunch reception and looking at holding it at either: Living Seas, The Odyssey, Prop Shop, or Hollywood Hideaway.

I don't have any informaiton on the menus, since I'm going to be disigning my own. I know I'm in the minority and won't be serving Mickey waffles (they are too sweet to me)
There isn't a lot of information on the website, all the information I have I got from my wedding consultant.

Brunch will cost whatever you want it to cost. :thumbsup2 Mainly you will just need to be sure you meet the food and beverage minimum at the location you choose. Your wedding planner will give you menus as a starting point, but you can completely customize them to suit your taste and budget.

To get an idea of the options and the prices of the set menus, check out this website: http://magicalkingdoms.com/ftw/wdw/menus.html

Disney's official website has mostly general info. For real details and prices, you need to check out the various independent websites, books, and message boards devoted to Disney Weddings, most of which turn up in a simple Google search.

This board is an excellent source of info from real brides, and you might enjoy reading through the planning journals and trip reports found in the subforums listed at the top of the main page. :)

For example, if you click the "PJ" link in my signature, you can read about how we planned our brunch, what was on the menu, and what it cost. The wedding report, with pictures, is under the "Wedding!" link in my signature.

Welcome! :wave2:

Thank You for all your help so far...I will definitely be looking at all those websites! :goodvibes

I'm doing a brunch reception at the Flying Fish. I'm pretty sure since you are Wishes you have a lot more choices. The F & B is $1000 for this location. I'm doing a brunch menu. Thanks to Lurkyloo I will visit her PJ again and see what food she offered. I am customizing my menu. But the initial brunch menu I received from Disney had the brunch menu at $52.50 per person. HTH :goodvibes

Thanks

I noticed lurkyloo that you had to reception at the attic and I was just in disney this week and went to look at it. i had a quick question...did you just not have any dancing or anything since it was a small quaint little place because that was i was thinking that it is more of a get together reception?

Hi! Yes, we wanted a more casual "hanging out" kind of reception, so the only dancing we had was the bride & groom/mother & son/father & daughter first dance.

We played background music on an iPod and mostly people just mingled, which was exactly what we'd hoped they would do.

But, as you saw, the Attic is not really suited to a traditional DJ-and-dancing reception setup.
