On cold days, I just dream of moving to Florida. I keep trying to talk my DH into it and I think he just might be coming around to the idea. I figure in another year or two maybe it will be time to start looking for another job somewhere warm!
anybody else plan vacations in the December-February months??? just the thought of getting out of michigan sounds great! i find myself going to expedia.com just to find a good deal!! even though i probably wont go i hate being broke
Come to Ga..it has been in the 70's and 80's most of December (with a few days of exceptions) and January is starting out the same way. There is something wrong about sweating on Christmas Day!!
I always planned our family vacation to WDW from December to February!!! When the kiddos were in ele school, we always went in JAN. When they got a tad bit older in jr. hi and sr. hi, we always went FEB school vacation. When they got to college, we always went for 10 days over Christmas Break. We needed a break from the Northeast.

Now we are in CA. Sunny CA. And I am 15 minutes to the LAND!!!
I agree! It's very cold here too, AND I'd love to be in WDW.
I haven't been outside yet today, but I just checked and it's -28C with a -42C windchill.... which converts in Fahrenheit to -18F with a -43F windchill. Ummmm.... bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Yesterday we were in the high 50's. It was great. We walked around an outdoor mall wearing only long sleeved shirts. Today we are back in the mid 20's. It's back to the harsh reality of winter.
Interior Alaska is in the midst of a "deep freeze", which means highs in the minus 35 degree range to lows in the minus 50-55 range. Fairbanks has been experiencing dense ice fog for several days now.
Should warm up by next weekend ... highs around -10!
