Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

LOL!! Love the group picture! :goodvibes

Oh wow....the search for Drew!!! :lmao:

She is still so little, but she is so alert. I figure a CM will try to give her first visit button, and they'll look funny when we say it's her second. And in December, when they try to do the same, they'll look even funnier when we say it's her third!

:rotfl2: Henry got that on his second trip, even after I told the CM it wasn't his first trip-she gave him a button!

Teppan Edo always looks like such a good time with the chefs - was yours entertaining? The pic of everyone is great...I laughed at Trent with the fan and Drew with the parasol!

And what a stressful moment in trying to locate Drew while being late...:headache:

Well that meal looks really yummy! I remember the day you were there and wondering what you were doing that exact moment.

It's fun to know another Diser's itinerary so that you can picture them there right at that time. Jill and I do that often. :)

MeMom, I couldn't agree with you more about the food at Teppan Edo. Definitely good but not as good as I expected. I got the chicken and shrimp and I've had better of both by my house. The experience makes up for it a little though :thumbsup2

I love the picture with the hidden Bella :rotfl: Her little peanut head peeking out from behind the table :cutie:

The experience was fun, and I am glad we did it, but I don't feel the need to go back any time soon.
It doesn't take much for that little thing (Bella) to be hidden!

See!!! this is why I'm on the fence about Teppan Edo for January!! I hear mixed things!! UGH! I'm thinking of skipping it and heading to a place at one of the Epcot resorts! Hmmmm, what to do?!

A group shot MeMom?!

Me thinks not!!

You, my dear, are not in the picture! Hidden or not, no MeMom!

Of course, I do understand! I'm only in pictures a photopass photographer takes and that maybe pushing it, I hate the way I look in most and delete them ;)

I always say try everything out for yourself. Only you can judge what you and/or your group really likes, loves, dislikes, etc. One person's great experience may just be so-so for someone else. It was fun for the atmosphere, but I was really expecting 'Wow!' on the meal, and it was just good.

I delete 99% of pictures taken of me.

Aww that food looks yummy. Alot better than the leftovers I just had.
Looks like Bella is taking after you with the hidden picture. Brooklyn sure isn't:rotfl2:

It was good. The steak was good, but I might have liked it better if instead of rice and noodles one of those could have been replaced with maybe broccoli or some other vegetable. Noodles and rice together seemed a little overkill on the starch.

We ate at Teppan Edo last October and it was good but not great. We have hibachi style Japanese places at home that are much better in my opinion.

It looks like fun times are ahead especially now that the guys have arived! I'm guessing that Drew forgot his swim trunks?

That was my first and only experience at a Japanese place.

Drew left his swim trunks at someone else's house, so he didn't have them when he went to pack, which was I'm sure about ten minutes before they left! :upsidedow He knew he could get some in DTD when he got to Disney World, so he didn't worry about it. He ended up getting some either later that evening or the next morning, I can't remember, but pretty quickly anyway.

We ate at Teppan Edu weekend before last... DD had #15, I had #18. Mine was good, DD's was really good :thumbsup2. My favorite thing was the white dipping sauce - I wish I knew what was in it! I've never tried the chicken, don't think I will in the future either :goodvibes I love looking through the store in Japan - so much to look at!

The Japan store is great. So many things to photograph.

That stinks that Teppan is not that great. I love the group picture at the end...Jarvis is the only one that looks really happy for the camera!

Jarvis smiled on command because he was the guest. The rest of them - my picture taking is old news. They do it to humor me. :)

"Look around you and tell me what you see."

"A white building"

"Really Drew that is what you see could you be a little more specific"

"A windmill"

"What the heck where are you that there is a windmill."

"I don't know where I am I just got off the bus and went through the building."

The windmill was actually a lighthouse, by the way.

And we think he ended up getting off the bus at Yacht Club instead of Beach Club.

Oh my Jill, yes there are a few stops.......but, don't you just love the Beach Club?:cloud9:

I know I do. I'd love to stay there someday!

Drew holding the parasol made me laugh!

What an ordeal finding Drew beforehand though!

You'd have to know Drew to know this is typical him. With his ADD, keen thinking is not always there. Unless it's about bikes, cars, or cameras, his specifics about anything amounts to "that thing' or 'that place' or 'that person'.

LOL!! Love the group picture! :goodvibes

Oh wow....the search for Drew!!! :lmao:

Luckily, Teppan Edo was fine about us being late. And we really weren't but a few minutes late anyway.

:rotfl2: Henry got that on his second trip, even after I told the CM it wasn't his first trip-she gave him a button!

Brooklynn has been offered first time buttons many times, as well. They just don't know that we're crazy Disney people, huh?

We had a lady. I had only a couple of blurry pictures, so I didn't put them up. She was fine.

Three weeks from today, I'll be waking up at French Quarter. We'll probably try to go to Animal Kingdom to do a few things, then get back to French Quarter for naps, because this will be MNSSHP night!

That's much more exciting than today - a typical Tuesday. I have papers to run off and papers to grade. I have late bus duty this week. Just normal stuff. I have to get out and get a new camera this week so that I can practice with it at Disney on Ice this weekend.

Hope you all have a good day!

Have a good Tuesday, MeMom -- I am giving a test today and reviewing nouns, then taking Chelsea to the orthodontist. Then, it will be home to start packing everyone's stuff for our weekend (the kids will be going to my parents') -- oh, and watching the clock hoping Thursday comes soon. ;)

Mmmm...your dinner looks delicious! We have a local place that is very similar to that and we love it!

Wow, Jill, what an ordeal finding Drew! Glad you didn't have to give up the ADR, though!

Hope you enjoy your Tuesday!

Denise

Man, I thought I was being so sneaky!! So supposing someone wanted to send Brooklyn a post card from Disney would she get it if it went to the same address?:goodvibes

Brooklynn got some postcards yesterday. Since they're coming here this weekend, I thought we could put one (the 'fari one, since it says next month) in the mailbox for her to find on Saturday, and then Jill can take the other two home with her to put in the mailbox two more days as the trip gets closer. She loves getting Mickey mail! She's going to love them all, and that was so kind of you to think of her!:goodvibes

Bella and Brooklyn look absolutely adorable in their little striped shorts.:cutie: I loved dressing my girls in matching outfits and did it as long as I could.

Teppan Edo looks like a fun experience to have with a big group. I agree, noodles and rice would be a bit much.

Poor Drew and the search for the elusive swim trunks and BC. Love his parasol shot, though.:rotfl:

I wanted to try Teppan Edo this trip but my family says we can eat that at home! We have quite a few of those restaurants here. It looked good though!
Which Disney on Ice are yall going to see? We have tickets to the Finding Nemo version coming here the first weekend in Nov. Figured it will be a good fix for us since we will be suffering from Disney depression! :thumbsup2
I may have missed this info so I am sorry if it has already been discusssed---what are the girls dressing up as for MNSSHP?

We really enjoyed the spirit of Teppen Edo, but found it not to be the best meal ever.

That photo of the kids/grandkids is wonderful, but I think it would be better with theit mother in it. Please promise me you'll take one with you in it too next summer, even if it doesn't make it on the DIS. It would be very meaningful to the rest of the people in the photo in years to come.

How's the leg doing? Haven't heard much about it recently.

WOW, it's only their first night and we've had the treat of 3 pictures of Drew! Seems like that may beat the number we got during the TR from the last trip he was on

Now if only we could get that many MeMom pics ;)

I love the matching and coordinating outfits, too. We can enjoy it for a few more years before Brooklynn balks, I think.

It was fun, since we had the whole table. Sharing a table with strangers can either be a lot of fun or very awkward.

OUr Disney on Ice is called Celebrations. It looks like it is going to be great! We booked it not knowing if we could go to WDW in October. Jill ended up being able to get the days off, so now we get a Disney fix and the real thing two weeks later. :dance3:

Brooklynn is going to be Ariel, or Ariel girl, as she calls her, and Bella is going to be Flounder.

How's the leg doing? Haven't heard much about it recently.

I take one occasionally, but I really, really don't like pictures of myself. I've been that way since I was young - it's nothing new.

My knee didn't feel too good Saturday night and Sunday after driving on it, but as Sunday wore on and it was rested, it felt better. My stride is a bit longer now, although not a normal full stride. I still can't plant and turn. It's all pretty much straight ahead. That will come with more working it out. I'm more than pleased with how far I have come, and although there is still some pain, and sometimes some sharp pains if I forget and try to turn, it's much better than it was.

I took pictures while the getting was good. I got another one of him in the Teacups and another on Splash Mountain at some point in the trip. I think I have one or two of him eating, too. He claims he's going with us in December. We'll see if that really happens.

Teppan EDO food looks so yummy ! Haven't ate there yet had it schedule for last year but backed out cause of DD's food allergies , I know they would have accommodated her there but I like to keep her meals a normal as possible for her sake , so we skipped it :) Love the group picture especially the props ! Sorry to hear about the swim trunk deli-ma , I hope Drew found a pair , hard to be on vacation without swimwear ! LOL

Hey I just reads about Brooklyn's first ride on Soarin. Way to go Brooklyn! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I"m also impressed that MeMom used the term centimeter; a metric term no less. :thumbsup2

I go away for one weekend and I end up 6 pages behind! Wow! Great updates though. The girls are really cute together. Two weeks from today we will hopefully be watching Fantasmic! :goodvibes And two weeks from Saturday we will most likely be meeting you in Fantasyland!

We missed out on Teppan Edo last week. I had my first Tonga toast instead. We were all about trying out places that we had not been to before on this trip.

He found swim trunks, and he was quite happy that they were on sale! :)

Hannah and I are going to see this on Thursday, October 8 (opening night!) in Charlotte. I can't wait!

Fun! Check in for our pictures his weekend, if you want to.

When did I say centimeter? I can't remember.

I hope the line/crowd is a lot more tolerable than it was this summer. We had a long wait in close quarters in the summer heat. The show was as great as ever, but boy, that wait was more than memorable in a not good way.

Yes, we're planning to be in Fantasyland waiting on your call, so whenever you get out of your CRT meal, we'll be waiting to hear how wonderful it was!

What did you think of the Tonga toast? We love to try out new places, too, however, I did earlier this evening make our third ADR for Crystal Palace for our December trip. We have really enjoyed our two meals there (except for the missing Pooh glitch), and we want to take the guys, so we're making it for a time they should be there this time.

Hi memom,
How was your tuesday?
Did you hear about the 2010 promotion?
It's called give a day, get a disney day! We are now going thanksgiving 2010 because of it:goodvibes
Congrats on your Crystal Palace ressie.
I just made one for 1:00 on Emily's birthday:thumbsup2

All caught up. Great pics as always and even a few "hidden MeMoms" Glad the guys arrived safely. Drew gives directions like my hubby!

Loved the updates! Sorry I haven't commented already but I've been trying to finalize some things for our November trip. I had to tell you about the deal I got b/c I wasn't sure if you had booked your October flight yet or not. Maybe a similar deal will come your way. I got a Ding from Southwest today for $59 per person from Raleigh to Orlando! So I booked it and have been trying to figure all the flying stuff out. I have never flown (and swore I never would) and I am very nervous. I'm excited but very nervous. Please tell me it will be ok. I need reassurance. I cannot believe that I actually booked it. I am putting MY BABY ON A PLANE!!!!!!!!! :scared1: Tell me I am not insane. People fly everyday, right???? Southwest has never had a fatality, right???? Yes, I am already panicing and it is a month away. And I know NOTHING about flying at all! I've got to learn what you can take and how it has to be bagged up and all that stuff.:teacher: Please tell me that there is nothing to worry about!
